Flick speaks out after winning a series of titles at Barcelona

Flick is happy with his third title at Barcelona.

In a press conference after the match with Espanyol in the early morning of May 16, Flick affirmed: "I think the second half of the season was great, when we did not lose any matches. Congratulations to the team and the fans. It was really a miracle."

Flick stressed the importance of the Barcelona players' mentality: "Mental strength is always important. What we have been working on since the break has helped a lot. The two players who scored for the away team were Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez. Flick himself also became the second German coach to win La Liga, after Bernd Schuster in 2008.

La Liga is also Flick's third title at Barcelona this season, after the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.

Immediately after the final whistle, Barcelona players hugged each other, preparing to celebrate on the field of rivals Espanyol. However, a group of Espanyol players immediately rushed to cause trouble. The management of RCDE Stadium also turned on the water fountains in the midfield area, preventing Barcelona players from continuing to celebrate.

The German coach also said that Barcelona did not want to celebrate the title on the field of Espanyol out of respect for their opponents.
