In the first friendly match with the Vietnam futsal team, both teams were quite cautious and the visiting team Kazakhstan did not field their strongest squad, leaving number 1 goalkeeper Leo Higuita on the bench.
However, in the 15th minute, just seconds after entering the field, one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Higuita, received a yellow card - signaling a difficult day of competition for Kazakhstan.
Less than 10 seconds later, Tu Minh Quang took advantage of the opportunity to open the score for the Vietnamese team, making the audience burst into excitement when Higuita advanced. This goal also helped the Vietnamese futsal team have an advantage going into the break.
In the second half, Vietnam futsal was at an early disadvantage with a 6m penalty, but the opponent was unable to defeat goalkeeper Van Y due to bad luck. In the 33rd minute, Kazakhstan had a classy pass in a narrow area. Although Van Y rushed out to close the angle very quickly, the opponent still managed to finish accurately, equalizing the score 1-1.

Undaunted, the Vietnamese team immediately responded. With more than 2 minutes left, coach Diego decided to deploy a power-play.
In the 39th minute, from a well-organized power-play situation, the red-shirted players attracted the entire defense and the opponent's goalkeeper. Chau Doan Phat took advantage of the opportunity, making an accurate shot from the second line, bringing Vietnam to the lead once again 2-1.
Ho Van Y scored against the world's best goalkeeper Higuita
The drama has not stopped yet! In the 40th minute, Kazakhstan sent Higuita - the world's best goalkeeper - onto the field to deploy a 5-man strategy. But when everyone was waiting for a "comeback", Ho Van Y stunned everyone with a classy goal, raising the score to 3-1 from a counter-attack when the opponent's power-play failed.
Before the match ended, Cong Vien sealed a resounding 4-1 victory for the Vietnamese futsal team.
Goalkeeper Ho Van Y said: "Kazakhstan is one of the best teams in the world. They play dangerous 5-pointers with the best goalkeeper in the world. Coach Diego has focused on training the team on defense when being besieged by the power-play tactic and has had good results."
However, Van Y said that Kazakhstan did not have many stars and played as a team with strong cohesion. However, the weather conditions and the good preparation of the host contributed to the opponent's defeat.
