Nearly 100,000 Vietnamese workers go to work abroad

(CT) - According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management (under the Ministry of Home Affairs), in August 2025, the whole country had 12,182 Vietnamese workers working abroad under contracts. Of these, 3,858 were female workers.

By the end of August 2025, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad was 97,963; of which 32,849 were female workers (reaching 75.3% of the yearly plan). Japan led with 43,905 workers, followed by Taiwan (China) with 37,906 workers, and South Korea with 8,923 workers. In addition, some countries also maintained a stable reception level: China had 2,000 Vietnamese workers working, Singapore had nearly 1,500 workers. European markets initially recorded positive results, such as Romania with 458 workers and Hungary with 581 workers.

In the final months of the year, the Department of Overseas Labor Management strives to complete and exceed the 2025 target. The important goal is not only to achieve the planned quantity target, but also to improve the quality of labor, better protect the rights of workers, thereby affirming the prestige, position and brand of Vietnamese labor in the international arena.
