Nearly 100 students were trained in first aid, rescue, drowning prevention and environmental protection.

On the afternoon of May 21, Nha Trang Bay Management Board coordinated with the Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center and Nha Trang City Red Cross to organize a training course on first aid, rescue, drowning prevention, and environmental protection for nearly 100 trainees who are wharf staff, crew members, service staff, and tour guides working at Nha Trang Tourist Wharf.

During the training session, trainees were equipped with knowledge about: Coordination procedures between forces in rescue work, assignment of tasks when a situation occurs, emergency communication, information and situation reporting; how to identify drowning people, techniques to approach and bring victims to shore, onto ships; instructions on the use of rescue vehicles and equipment such as life buoys, fire extinguishers, life jackets...; first aid techniques for drowning victims, cardiopulmonary resuscitation; injuries in accidents at sea (how to stop bleeding, fix broken bones). At the same time, they were instructed on technical methods for handling oil spill response scenes; sorting waste at source.
