SJC gold price remains unchanged, DOJI and Bao Tin Minh Chau gold prices increase slightly
Specifically, the price of SJC gold bars in Hanoi was listed at VND119.7 million/tael (buy) and VND121.2 million/tael (sell), unchanged from the previous day.
Meanwhile, DOJI Group and Bao Tin Minh Chau simultaneously adjusted the price up by VND200,000/tael in both directions, bringing the price of gold bars to VND119.7 million/tael (buy) and VND121.2 million/tael (sell). This upward trend reflects that investors are becoming more optimistic in the face of recent global economic fluctuations.
Gold prices of other major brands did not record any fluctuations.
At Mi Hong, today's gold price, July 21, 2025, is listed at 119.8 million VND/tael (buy) and 120.6 million VND/tael (sell), unchanged from the previous trading session.
PNJ increased the most by 400 thousand VND/tael, with gold bar price at 115.1 million VND/tael (buy) and 118.0 million VND/tael (sell).
Meanwhile, Phu Quy listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND118.7 million/tael (buy) and VND121.0 million/tael (sell), no change compared to the previous day.
Vietinbank Gold also kept its selling price at VND121.2 million/tael, equal to major brands such as SJC and DOJI. The difference between buying and selling prices at these brands ranges from VND1.5 to VND3 million/tael, showing that the domestic gold market is showing signs of balance.
Price of 9999 gold ring increased slightly by 200 thousand VND/tael
As of 10:00 a.m. today, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold rings at DOJI is listed at 116.1-118.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 200 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday. The difference between buying and selling prices is at 2.5 million VND/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 116.3-119.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 200 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling prices compared to early this morning. The difference between buying and selling prices is at 3 million VND/tael.

World gold price, at 09:50 on July 21, 2025 (Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 3,351.6 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 3.7 USD. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,340 VND/USD), world gold is priced at about 110.64 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Compared with the domestic SJC gold bar price on the same day (119.7-121.2 million VND/tael), the current SJC gold price is about 10.56 million higher than the international gold price.

An international survey of the gold market shows that experts have mixed views on the short-term performance of this precious metal. Meanwhile, individual investors show clear optimism.
Specifically, of the 15 experts participating in the survey, up to 53% predicted that gold prices would increase next week. Only 7% said that prices would decrease, while the remaining 40% said that prices would remain stable.
On the retail investor side, the online survey of 223 participants showed a return to optimism. The majority (62%) expect gold prices to rise, 17% predict a fall and 21% believe prices will remain stable.
Adrian Day, chairman of Adrian Day Asset Management, said that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is likely to continue to maintain his stance of not cutting interest rates. The reasons given are that inflation is not yet fully controlled, the economic situation and monetary policy are still uncertain, and the desire to protect the independence of the Fed from political pressure. According to Mr. Day, these factors will keep gold prices at the current high level, and if the US economy weakens, the gold market may welcome a new wave of buyers.
Darin Newsom, senior market analyst at Barchart.com, echoed the sentiment, saying that gold prices will continue to rise as uncertainty persists. He noted that the next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting is coming up, but the Fed’s futures curve for federal funds rates suggests no change in interest rates until at least October.
Asset Strategies International President Rich Checkan also predicted that gold prices will rise, citing concerns about the fate of the Fed Chairman, tensions in the Middle East, Far East and Europe, and a weakening US dollar as all factors supporting the price of gold.
Gold prices responded positively to trendline support last week, indicating that buyers are still in position, according to James Stanley, senior market strategist at Forex. Gold prices are currently stable around $3,350-$3,362.
Stanley also said the market is preparing for the possibility of the Fed cutting interest rates in September, a factor that could affect gold prices in the coming time, especially after the FOMC meeting next week.
