On July 21, the delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led by Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to typical policy families and people with revolutionary contributions in Vuon Lai Ward, Dien Hong Ward, Hoa Hung Ward. The activity was held to commemorate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).
Visiting Mrs. Tran Thi Nam (living in Vuon Lai ward), comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong kindly asked about Mrs. Nam's health, diet, and daily medication. He wished Mrs. Nam good health and a long life with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Nam is the mother of martyr Nguyen Van Hieu, who died in 1984. Due to her old age and many underlying diseases, Mrs. Nam's health is very weak. She currently lives with her two children and grandchildren.

The delegation also visited Mrs. Bui Thi Anh, a resident of Dien Hong ward. Mrs. Anh is the wife of martyr Thai Van Can, who died in 1958. Mrs. Anh has no children and is currently living alone.
With the tradition of "remembering the source of water", comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong shared that every year on July 27, Ho Chi Minh City organizes delegations to visit people with revolutionary contributions and families with preferential policies. He expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices of Ms. Anh and Martyr Thai Van Can for the Fatherland. He wished her a happy and healthy life.

On the same day, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Hong Xuan, a 1/4 disabled soldier, residing in Vuon Lai ward, and Mr. Tran Quy Duc, a 1/3 disabled soldier, residing in Hoa Hung ward.
On behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong kindly asked about the health of Mr. Xuan and Mr. Duc and expressed his gratitude for their contributions to the cause of national liberation as well as their contributions to the locality during peacetime.

Mr. Xuan and Mr. Duc have a difficult life. Mr. Xuan's wife is a kindergarten teacher. Mr. Xuan's health is poor due to a stroke, making it difficult for him to move around. Mr. Duc has corneal burns in both eyes, is almost blind, has no wife or children, and currently lives with his sister.

Expressing his respect for the sacrifices of Mr. Xuan and Mr. Duc for the country's national liberation revolution, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed that the city, its leaders and people will always remember that merit.
The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee sent his best wishes to Mr. Xuan and Mr. Duc for good health and happiness with their families. He requested that the locality pay special attention and take good care of the material and spiritual life of policy families.
