Launched in 2023, Hue Sports Festival is an initiative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City. The event is held annually in response to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". This is also a large-scale sports event, contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of local culture, sports and tourism, and is a typical model in the socialization of sports in Hue City.
This year, the "Hue Sports Festival 2025" for Community Health takes place from July 12 to August 4 with 12 activities: The first Hue City Yoga Open Tournament; 7-a-side football tournament for students of high schools in the city; Hue City Pickleball Open Tournament; "Hue Sports Festival 2025" Balance Racing Tournament; 7-a-side Premier Football Tournament; Hiphop - Showcase - Shining Vietnamese Smiles Tournament; 4th Annual Golf Club 23 Tournament; Hue S-Line Open Tennis Tournament; Hueba Jogging 2025; 2nd Hue Ancient Capital 3x3 Basketball Tournament and 3-cushion Carom Billiards Tournament; The first Nghia Dung Karate-do Tournament in the Central Highlands - Central Region 2025.

With the participation of tens of thousands of athletes, coaches and fans, the festival is not only a sports playground but also a real "sports festival" of Hue people - where joy, aspiration and sportsmanship spread on every street, every route. Thereby, contributing to promoting a new, youthful, dynamic and friendly image of Hue in the eyes of tourists and the community.
In particular, the festival has mobilized the cooperation of many sponsors and philanthropists, contributing to supporting the poor and students in difficult circumstances - spreading the spirit of sports for the community and towards profound human values.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City, Hue is striving with the whole country in a new era of development - not only a heritage city, but also aiming to become a "livable city", where there is a healthy, dynamic and creative community.
Hue Sports Festival is the foundation for forming a sports ecosystem associated with the economy: from professional and semi-professional tournaments, "made in Hue" sports products to sports start-up models that are developed and widely connected. Further, Hue can completely become a destination to host national, regional and international sports tournaments - contributing to promoting the image, people and identity of Hue to global friends.
