The Hoa Vang District Police ( Da Nang ) has just issued an emergency detention order for Do Thi Yen Ly to investigate her for fraud and property appropriation; forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations.

Ly was accused of defrauding her husband's family to appropriate money.

According to initial information, on August 3, Hoa Vang District Police (Da Nang) received a report from Ms. NTKY's family (residing in Hoa Vang District) about being defrauded of property.

Through investigation, it was determined that around April 2022, Do Thi Yen Ly (35 years old, residing in Hung Yen province) went to Da Nang to take a Grab car and met the driver, Mr. VNK (29 years old, residing in Lien Chieu district, Da Nang).

Ly took the fake name Do Yen Nhi and had many contacts and contacts with Mr. K., so the two developed feelings for each other.

Around July 2022, Mr. K. brought Ly home to meet his family. Ly lied that her family in Gia Lai province owned a bus company. This was to show that Ly's family was well-off so that she could approach Mr. K.'s family.

A few months later, Ly announced that she was pregnant with K., so the two planned to get married. Ly spent money to hire people to pretend to be the bride’s parents and relatives to organize the wedding in Gia Lai. Ly also borrowed the land title and 9 fake gold bars to give to the people hired to pretend to be the bride’s parents and relatives… to give to Ly and her husband at the wedding.

After the wedding, Ly repeatedly provided false information to borrow money to appropriate. Ly lied that her parents had bought her and her husband two 34-seat passenger vans to run the Gia Lai - Da Nang route, and that they currently needed money to buy a 16-seat van.

Ly told her husband's family that her parents had bought her a house worth 9 billion VND in Da Nang, but in fact Ly was renting the house.

Because he trusted his daughter-in-law Do Yen Nhi's cover, Mr. K. and his family lent and borrowed money to Ly many times, totaling more than 2.4 billion VND.
