Meeting the valedictorian of the A01 block in Ha Tinh in a small house in Tien Chau village, Mai Phu commune (Ha Tinh), the first impression of male student Phan Dinh Quoc Hung was a handsome, mature boy. When he learned that he was the valedictorian of the A01 block in the whole province with a score of 29, including: Math: 9.5; Physics: 10 and English: 9.5, Quoc Hung could not hide his joy.
“After the exam, I scored my own subjects and predicted that I would get good results. But when I heard that I was the valedictorian, I was really surprised and very happy. It was the result of my continuous efforts and the encouragement and guidance of my family and teachers.”
As an outstanding student for many years, Quoc Hung has always maintained the title of an excellent student. Notably, in the 2024-2025 school year, he won the second prize in the provincial excellent student competition in English, possessing an IELTS certificate of 7.5. He also actively participates in extracurricular activities, typically the "Migration Ambassador" project - ranked in the top 8 nationwide in the "Youth Communication Initiative on Promoting Safe Migration and Preventing Human Trafficking" competition season 2. In addition, Hung is a member of the design committee of the school's Media Club (MCC).

Sharing his study secrets, Quoc Hung said that the most important thing is to have a clear direction: “From the beginning of grade 10, I set goals for myself. After that, I built a specific plan for each stage and seriously implemented it every day. I prioritize self-study and practice regularly to get familiar with many types of exercises. For English, I have a notebook to record vocabulary to review every day. Studying all subjects evenly and not studying one-sidedly also helps me maintain stability and confidence.”
In addition to studying individually, Hung often studies in groups with friends to exchange knowledge, solve problems and support each other. He believes that studying in groups not only helps him understand the lesson more deeply but also creates motivation and inspiration to strive. In addition, Hung also pays special attention to his health. He limits staying up late, maintains a scientific schedule and relaxes every day to improve his physical strength and relieve stress after school hours.

Talking about her youngest son in a family of 5 siblings, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh (Quoc Hung's mother) shared: "Hung was born when I was already old, so I didn't have the conditions to closely care for him like other families. However, Hung is always self-disciplined, studies hard and is obedient. He knows how to arrange his time reasonably and always takes the initiative to help his parents. Today's result is a great reward for the whole family."
In the near future, Hung aims to study at the Foreign Trade University - Ho Chi Minh City campus. He hopes to not only develop his expertise but also actively participate in movement activities, improve soft skills, foreign languages and expand relationships to prepare well for the future.

Mr. Le Viet Luong - Vice Principal of Mai Thuc Loan High School shared: “Quoc Hung is a diligent, progressive student and especially has a high spirit of self-study. He determined his goals early and constantly strived to achieve what he wanted. Today's achievement is a worthy recognition for his persistent efforts over many years. The school is proud of Hung and hopes that he will continue to maintain his learning spirit, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of Ha Tinh students.”
