(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of November 29, the Provincial Veterans Association held a traditional meeting to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024).

Attending the meeting were comrades: Pham Thi Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Veterans Association and former leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association through the periods.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the tradition of building, growing and developing the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Provincial Association. On December 6, 1989, the Politburo and the Party Central Committee (term VI) decided to establish the Vietnam Veterans Association, marking an important historical milestone in the political and spiritual life of Vietnam Veterans.
Over the past 35 years, under the leadership of the Party, the close coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other organizations, generations of Vietnamese war veterans have always promoted the qualities and traditions of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", building the Association to become increasingly stronger, becoming a solid support for the Party, State and People.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai expressed his deep gratitude and sincere appreciation for the great contributions and sacrifices of generations of war veterans in the cause of national construction and defense.
He also acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that the Lam Dong Provincial Association of War Veterans has achieved over the past 35 years. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai affirmed that he will always stand side by side with the Association of War Veterans in meaningful movements and activities; especially in ensuring social security, helping and supporting people and members in difficult circumstances, and supporting housing and eliminating temporary housing for war veterans.

On this occasion, 154 leaders of the Party, government, Fatherland Front and socio-political agencies and organizations of the province were honored to receive the Commemorative Medal of the Vietnam Veterans Association, for their many contributions to the cause of building and developing the Veterans Association.
