Meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the 2nd Infantry Division, Military Region 5

On October 11, the Traditional Liaison Committee of the 2nd Infantry Division, Military Region 5 in Khanh Hoa organized a meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the division's founding (October 20, 1965 - October 20, 2025). Attending the meeting were nearly 300 veterans and former soldiers of the division through the periods who are living in the province.

At the meeting, the war veterans and former soldiers watched a documentary film, reviewed the 60-year tradition of building, fighting and growing up of the division; heroic memories in combat; and remembered the contributions of comrades who fell for the cause of national liberation, national reunification and noble international duty.

On this occasion, the Liaison Committee organized meaningful activities such as: Visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts to 4 families of comrades who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war; giving birthday gifts to 4 war veterans aged 70 to 104; expressing gratitude to organizations and individuals who have contributed to and accompanied the Division's Traditional Liaison Committee.

The organizers presented gifts and expressed gratitude to the families of four comrades who died in the resistance war.

The Liaison Committee gave birthday gifts to elderly war veterans.

In Khanh Hoa , the 2nd Infantry Division Veterans' Traditional Liaison Committee was established in 1995, currently has about 500 veterans and former soldiers of the division through different periods living in the province.

Giving flowers to thank organizations and individuals who have contributed and accompanied the Liaison Committee.

Over the past 30 years, the Liaison Committee has always connected comradely sentiments, donated money to build and repair houses; visited and shared with comrades in difficult circumstances; participated in searching and bringing martyrs' remains back to their hometown cemeteries for burial according to the wishes of their families.
