Ms. Nguyen Thi Diep in Kim Giao village, Pho Thuan commune shared that the riverbank erosion has been going on for more than 10 years. Every rainy and stormy season, the river water washes away a few more meters of land.
“Every time there is a flood, we have to worry about moving our belongings and assets to a safer place because we are afraid that the flood will sweep away our houses and endanger our lives. But this rainy season, we feel much more secure. The solid and sturdy embankment project is about to be completed,” Ms. Diep said happily.
