On May 12, General Motors (GM.N) said it would recall nearly 1 million sport utility vehicles in the US due to a defect in the driver's airbag inflator that could explode during use.

This recall includes 994,763 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia vehicles from the 2014 through 2017 model years that have modules manufactured by ARC Automotive Inc.
A 2017 Chevrolet Traverse was involved in a crash and the front driver airbag inflator ruptured. The company’s April 25 inspection confirmed that the front driver airbag inflator ruptured.
In 2022, General Motors also recalled 825,000 vehicles in North America due to headlight defects./.
