Taking care of workers

Promoting the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, civil servants, and laborers, all levels of the provincial Trade Union strive to fulfill assigned tasks well.

Trade Unions at all levels shall strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of labor laws, trade unions, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, etc. to prevent labor disputes leading to collective work stoppages; at the same time, supervise the payment of salaries and bonuses to union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Grassroots trade unions coordinate with employers to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; at the same time, pay attention to inspecting and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements at enterprises.

Up to now, the whole province has signed 38/70 new collective labor agreements (reaching 54%), of which 23 newly signed collective labor agreements are of type B or higher. The Trade Union negotiates with employers to improve the quality of shift meals for employees and coordinates to inspect and supervise the quality of shift meals for employees, thereby promptly propagating and mobilizing employers to provide shift meals for employees to ensure nutritional quality and food hygiene.

The most prominent activity in the first 6 months of 2025 is the activity of taking care of employees and workers during the Lunar New Year. This activity continues to leave its mark and spread widely among employees and workers.

Accordingly, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 39,800 warm Spring gifts from the Union to union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 39.8 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor organized a delegation of provincial leaders to visit and extend New Year greetings at 20 enterprises.

In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ong Dang Program at 2 locations (Duc Hoa district and Kien Tuong town); Tet Trade Union Market 2025 at 8 locations with more than 100 welfare booths; 23 Trade Union Bus Trips - Spring 2025 with 958 tickets of love to take and pick up free of charge union members and workers to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with a total value of more than 2 billion VND; Year-end Program - Happy Spring to welcome Tet with workers for union members and workers who cannot return home to celebrate Tet at 20 boarding houses;...

In addition, the Trade Union at the grassroots level directly advises the Party Committee, coordinates with the authorities at the same level, and employers to deploy and effectively implement the work of taking care of union members and workers during Tet; 100% of the Trade Union at the grassroots level directly and the Trade Union at the grassroots level organize Tet care activities with many diverse forms.

Chairman of Duc Hue District Labor Federation - Tran Van Cuong said: On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the District Labor Federation presented 2,258 gifts to union members and employees from socialized sources and grassroots unions through the Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang program with a total cost of more than 1.29 billion VND. Thereby, union members and employees had a warmer Tet, contributing to improving the effectiveness of caring for union members and employees.

Through the Labor Month activities, all levels of the Union organize to care for and support union members and workers with a total amount of nearly 30 billion VND.

In addition, trade unions at all levels also focus on propagating and mobilizing workers to study the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws; intensifying the propaganda of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Provincial Trade Union and the resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels with many appropriate forms at the grassroots level; stepping up propaganda, creating consensus and unity among cadres, trade union members, workers and trade union members on breakthrough policies on restructuring the apparatus of the political system, restructuring administrative units and organizing local governments at 2 levels ; deeply and widely propagating the policies of the Central and the province in implementing innovation and restructuring the apparatus with the motto of streamlining, efficiency - effectiveness - efficiency;...

From there, the Trade Union at the higher level directly implements the grassroots Trade Union to actively mobilize union members and employees to respond, promote emulation movements, promote initiatives, creativity, improve techniques, improve labor productivity, work efficiency, etc.

In the first 6 months of 2025, all levels of the Trade Union will focus on organizing activities to care for and support union members and employees on the occasion of Lunar New Year and Labor Month with many practical programs and activities such as Tet Sum Vay - Spring thanks to the Party, Trade Union Tet Market, Love Ticket, Year-end Party - Happy New Year with Workers, Thank Workers Program, cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities, etc. with a budget of nearly 220 billion VND. In particular, implementing the targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Labor Confederation will implement 10/19 targets, reaching over 50%, of which 7 targets will be achieved and exceeded (from 100% or more)".

Focus on implementing targets and tasks

Promoting the achieved results, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed all levels of the Union to continue focusing on implementing the targets and tasks set out in the 2025 work program, contributing to the effective implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Provincial General Confederation of Labor; closely following the 2025 theme of activities "Focusing on developing Party members; participating in building a clean and strong Party".

- In the province, the grassroots trade union at the higher level will cease its operations from June 30, 2025. All grassroots trade unions that do not receive 100% state budget salaries will be transferred to the Provincial Federation of Labor for direct management and direction.

- At the 7th Executive Committee Conference, term XI, held on June 17, 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 53 collectives and 94 individuals with outstanding achievements in Trade Union activities.
