Recognition through the Mass Art Festival of the Armed Forces and Youth and Students

The mass art festival in the armed forces and youth and students has just been successfully organized and left a strong impression. This is a useful playground in the military agencies, contributing to improving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers of the armed forces.

The recently held mass art festival is also one of the meaningful activities to compete for achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024); 49 years of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification; 80 years of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 35 years of the National Defense Day; and to welcome the Victory Emulation Congress in the Armed Forces (2019-2024 period).

The mass art festival included 8 art troupes from agencies, units, Military Commands of districts, cities, towns, and affiliated units, youth and students in the area. The content of the art program was elaborately and attractively staged through singing, dancing, drama performances... focusing on the theme "Forever the military march". Non-professional actors who are the core artists in military agencies, schools, and local youth and students vividly performed art performances, skits praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, praising the image of the "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; praising national traditions, love for the homeland; the tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army. At the same time, it deeply reflects the typical and advanced examples of the provincial armed forces in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through training activities, drills, mass mobilization, in production labor, disease prevention, natural disasters... Thereby, it partly depicts the true image of the Vietnam People's Army soldier in carrying out the task of building and defending the Fatherland; about comradeship, teamwork, and close military-civilian relationship.

Each team brought to the provincial military arts festival a program with different colors and clear messages. However, each program clearly demonstrated the spirit and heroic sacrifice of generations of fathers and grandfathers in the struggle for national independence; in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; in the process of building the homeland and renewing the country... Some performances deeply moved the audience. Typically, the singing, dancing and drama performances of the Phu Ly City Military Command brought many viewers to tears.

Major Pham Duong, Deputy Political Commissar and Head of the Political Department of Phu Ly City Military Command, said: Following the direction of the Provincial Military Command, the Party Committee and the City Military Command clearly defined the theme and directed the development of a detailed script program, inspired by the work "Forever 20" by Martyr Nguyen Van Thac to build the content of the program throughout, highlighting the noble image of the soldier who fought bravely and sacrificed in the struggle to protect the homeland and the country; about the heroic martyrs of Ha Nam. The performance of the unit's amateur actors and actresses conveyed the program's message to the audience in the most profound and impressive way.

The art program of the Thanh Liem District Military Command was highly appreciated by the Organizing Committee for its content structure as well as the deep "role-playing" of non-professional actors. Along with the excellent and elaborately staged performances, the unit's skits aimed to praise the comradeship and team spirit in combat, and the heroic sacrifice of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the struggle for national independence, building and defending the Fatherland. Major Pham Hai Ha, Deputy Political Commissar of the Thanh Liem District Military Command, said: Thanks to the enthusiasm and responsibility of the members of the mass art team, the performances at the performance program left a strong impression. This is the result of the process of building a movement within the agency and unit over the past time, along with the enthusiastic coordination of the sister units and the positive factors in the mass cultural and artistic movement, which contributed to the success of the program. Thanks to that, the unit was honored to win first prize at the festival.

Through the performances, it is also an opportunity for the mass art troupes to inform and propagate to officers and soldiers and people of all walks of life about the policies, guidelines, laws of the Party and State in various fields. Especially in the field of local defense and military. Typically, through the skit "Forever the marching song" by the Military Command of Ly Nhan district, the message about the exemplary spirit of soldiers in propagating and mobilizing people to strictly comply with the policies, guidelines, laws of the Party and State in building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas was conveyed to the audience. At the same time, it demonstrated the active participation of officers and soldiers of the armed forces in the local new rural construction program through practical actions, creating a good impression in the hearts of the people.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Cong, Political Assistant, an amateur “actor” playing the main character in the skit, said: Through the content of the script, we want to convey the message about the purpose and meaning of the new rural construction program in the locality. Thereby spreading the practical meaning of the Party and State’s policies and guidelines in the cause of building an increasingly innovative homeland and country.

Appreciating the active participation of units in the Arts Festival of the Armed Forces and youth and students, Colonel Dang Van Hoa, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, said: In recent years, cultural and artistic exchange activities of the armed forces and youth and students in the province have taken place enthusiastically and widely, creating an exciting atmosphere among the armed forces.

Through the mass art festival, the cultural and artistic movement in agencies and units will continue to be maintained, contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, encouraging officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces to strive to compete and complete all assigned tasks. At the same time, through the mass art festival, it also contributes to consolidating and strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, building the great national unity bloc, and building a good and healthy cultural environment in the military unit.
