Diesel prices slightly decreased, RON95-III gasoline increased by 131 VND/liter

According to the document of the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil on the management of domestic retail gasoline prices, from 3:00 p.m., the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,401 VND/liter, an increase of 122 VND/liter compared to the current price; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 19,840 VND/liter, an increase of 131 VND/liter compared to the current price.

In addition, kerosene increased by 86 VND, to 18,714 VND/kg and fuel oil increased by 154 VND, the new price is 15,533 VND/kg. Diesel oil alone decreased by 61 VND, to 19,068 VND/liter.

The operator requested not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,084 billion VND, unchanged from the most recent announcement period.

Previously, gasoline prices decreased twice in a row. The most recent time (July 24), E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by VND202/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND216/liter and fuel oil decreased by VND99/kg. However, diesel oil increased by VND330/liter and kerosene by VND199/liter during this adjustment period.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
