EuroCham Vietnam Chairman Bruno Jaspaert: Green transition is no longer an option, but a condition for growth
This is a key event promoting the transformation of green growth models in Vietnam and the region.
According to Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam Bruno Jaspaert, green transformation is no longer an option, but a condition for growth.
"European investment in Vietnam is not only large, but also a purposeful investment. The green journey does not distinguish between business sizes, from corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises can all create value, if starting from root innovation," Chairman Bruno Jaspaert emphasized.
Mr. Bruno Jaspaert recognized that in these challenges, there is also an important opportunity: the green transition can absolutely become the strongest growth driver for Vietnam in the coming decades. Europe is demonstrating this with formative frameworks such as the European Green Deal, mobilizing at least 1,000 billion EUR in sustainable investment, or the Global Gateway Initiative with an investment of 300 billion EUR for strategic partnerships.

Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency: Many manufacturing industries are gradually perfecting new standards and regulations related to labor, environment, traceability and green traceability.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, said that many manufacturing industries are gradually perfecting new standards and regulations related to labor, environment, traceability and green traceability. Production processes are adjusted to meet requirements on traceability, environmental criteria and technical standards in the context of the European and EU markets increasingly focusing on green factors, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring safety for consumers.
"In recent months, the Government and business communities of both sides have actively exchanged, connected investments, and expanded cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, technology, urban-industrial infrastructure integrating green solutions, as well as sustainable agriculture ," Mr. Vu Ba Phu affirmed.
Mr. Julien Guerrier, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, affirmed that the European Union and EU businesses always accompany Vietnam in its efforts to build a sustainable, green, clean and prosperous future.
"EU businesses not only contribute to economic growth and productivity but also promote sustainable development. We are firmly committed to building a fair, prosperous EU, with a competitive digital economy and carbon neutrality by 2050," said Mr. Julien Guerrier.
At the Green Economy Forum 2025, the professional discussion sessions will focus on sharing mechanisms, policies and legal regulations in the fields of renewable energy, green skills, green urban-industrial infrastructure and sustainable agriculture; at the same time, finding solutions to narrow the gap in green skills and building a sustainable cooperation platform to maintain growth and shape a sustainable business environment for the Vietnamese and regional business community.
