Captain Nguyen Van Quyet has officially signed a three-year contract extension with Hanoi FC. The player, born in 1991, will be with the capital city's representative until the end of the 2027-2028 season. This means that Van Quyet will most likely spend the rest of his career with the club.

Having dedicated 15 years to Hanoi FC, Van Quyet is not only a symbol of loyalty but also a witness to the team's glorious milestones. He has played 378 matches in all competitions, scoring 169 goals, making a significant contribution to the illustrious achievements in the history of the capital city's team.

Wearing the captain's armband, the player wearing the number 10 jersey, along with Hanoi FC, conquered 5 V-League championships (2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), 3 National Cups (2019, 2020, 2022) and 4 National Super Cups (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022).

In the 2024-2025 season, the striker born in 1991 continued to assert his class by surpassing Le Cong Vinh's record (116 goals), becoming the Vietnamese player with the most goals in V-League history. In the most recent match against SLNA, he scored a brace to bring his total number of V-League goals to 119.

Witnessing the perseverance and excellence of their leader, the Hanoi FC management decided to extend Van Quyet's contract. Personally, he has always affirmed and committed his entire career to wearing the purple jersey.
