Pork prices at supermarkets and retail food companies on July 29, 2025

This morning, the chilled pork market at major supermarket chains continued to show remarkable points in terms of prices and promotions. Below is detailed information to help you grasp the trend and make smart shopping choices.

Meat Deli (WinMart): Attractive offers, stable prices

According to a survey on winmart.vn, the price of Meat Deli chilled pork is currently stable, ranging from 119,922 VND/kg to 163,122 VND/kg. In particular, WinMart members are enjoying a 20% discount on these products, a great opportunity to shop economically.

Specifically, pork belly is being sold at 163,122 VND/kg, the highest priced product in the Meat Deli group surveyed. On the contrary, ground pork has the lowest price, only 119,922 VND/kg, very suitable for everyday dishes.

Ha Hien Food: Diverse prices, many choices

At Ha Hien Food System, pork prices remain unchanged, with no fluctuations compared to before. The products here have quite diverse prices, ranging from 89,000 VND/kg to 190,000 VND/kg, providing many options for consumers depending on their needs and budget.

In more detail, the two products with the highest prices at Ha Hien are pork ribs at 190,000 VND/kg and pig tails at 176,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, pork fat still has the lowest price, only 89,000 VND/kg, suitable for those who need this ingredient for cooking.

African swine fever situation in Cao Bang: Vinh Quy commune faces many challenges

According to experts, the price of live pigs is likely to increase slightly again from the beginning of August. The main reason is the increase in demand for fresh meat after a period of low volatility. However, this increase is not expected to be too strong and sustainable in the short term. Large inventories at large-scale farms are still an obstacle, making it difficult for prices to make a strong breakthrough.

The African swine fever (ASF) situation is complicated in Vinh Quy commune, Cao Bang province, especially in areas with high livestock density. According to reports from local authorities, the disease has appeared sporadically in many households, turning this place into a "hot spot" of this epidemic.

Worryingly, 51 households were forced to destroy a total of 243 pigs, including 58 sows and boars, with a total weight of more than 12 tons. A major challenge for control is that the pigs do not die simultaneously, forcing many households to report the outbreak 2 to 3 times, making it difficult to completely handle the situation.

The destruction of infected pigs is strictly carried out according to regulations, ensuring technical and environmental safety. The burial sites are mainly located in household gardens or cemetery areas of hamlets, under the close supervision of hamlet chiefs, veterinary officers, economic department specialists and livestock owners.

Vinh Quy Commune authorities have also actively implemented epidemic prevention measures. Specifically, they have provided 65 liters of chemicals and 180 kg of lime powder to support disinfection work in epidemic areas and high-risk areas. At the same time, they have coordinated with veterinary agencies to guide people to clean their barns, declare epidemics according to regulations and closely monitor after destruction.

However, the locality still faces many difficulties. Some livestock farmers have not proactively reported the disease when it was detected, and even arbitrarily buried it, increasing the risk of environmental pollution and disease spread. Ms. Ma Thi Do, Chairwoman of Vinh Quy Commune People's Committee, expressed concern about the rapid spread of the disease. With the total local pig herd currently at over 9,000, the risk of the disease breaking out more strongly after this prolonged rain is very high.

To deal with this urgent situation, the Vinh Quy Commune People's Committee has sent a document to the hamlets to organize meetings, increase propaganda and raise awareness among the people. At the same time, the commune also proposed that the superiors consider supporting more funds to buy chemicals and lime powder, in order to expand the scope of disinfection spraying at public places and hamlets heavily affected by the epidemic.
