Pig price continues to decrease by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg

(GLO)- Domestic pig prices continued to decrease by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg in many localities on October 10. Currently, the purchase price of pigs fluctuates between 50,000-55,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, in the Northern region, the price of live pigs today decreased by 1,000 VND/kg in Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi and Ninh Binh, currently trading at 53,000-54,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the highest regional level is still 55,000 VND/kg in Ninh Binh, while the lowest is 53,000 VND/kg in many provinces such as Lai Chau, Son La and Dien Bien .

Similarly, the live hog market in the Central Highlands region also decreased by VND1,000/kg in some localities. After the decrease, the price of hogs in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An was VND52,000/kg; Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa were VND51,000/kg; Lam Dong was down to VND53,000/kg.

The remaining provinces such as Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Gia Lai kept the same price, ranging from 50,000-52,000 VND/kg. Of which, Gia Lai has the lowest price of live pigs at 50,000 VND/kg.

In the Southern region, the price of live pigs today decreased by 2,000 VND/kg in Vinh Long, bringing the purchase price in this province to the lowest level in the region of 50,000 VND/kg.

With the same decrease of 1,000 VND/kg, the price of live pigs in Dong Thap, An Giang, and Ca Mau dropped to 52,000 VND/kg, 53,000 VND/kg, and 54,000 VND/kg, respectively. In Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho, the price of pigs remains unchanged at 54,000 VND/kg.
