Gia Lai proposes support for those affected by the merger

On July 18, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council a draft resolution stipulating support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the implementation of administrative unit rearrangement at the provincial and commune levels.

According to the content of the submission, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province proposed to support travel conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers who are mobilized, assigned, and arranged by competent authorities to change their working location from the administrative center of the previous provincial administrative unit to the administrative center of the following provincial administrative unit or vice versa with a support level of 2 million VND/person/month.

Gia Lai officially proposes support for those affected by the merger -0 — Gia Lai province arranges vehicles to pick up officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers to go to work every Monday morning.

Support working conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers at the rate of 4 million VND/person/month to rent a house, buy and transport essential items... at the new place of residence. In case the subject has been arranged public housing according to regulations, the full cost of renting public housing (if any) will be supported and working conditions will not be supported.

At the same time, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also proposed to support travel conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers who are mobilized, assigned and arranged by competent authorities to work at the administrative center of the commune-level administrative unit after the arrangement.

Specifically, support is 500 thousand VND/person/month for travel distance from 15-under 20km; support is 700 thousand VND/person/month for travel distance from 20-under 30km; support is 1 million VND/person/month for travel distance from 30km or more. In case of working in Nhon Chau island commune, support is 2 million VND/person/month.

The support implementation period is from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. The support is paid with the monthly salary according to the actual working time of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers at the administrative center of the provincial and commune-level administrative units.

It is expected that the above support proposals will be presented at the second session of the 12th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, which will take place on July 22 and 23.

Currently, Gia Lai province is organizing shuttle buses to pick up officials, civil servants, public employees and workers from Gia Lai province (old) to work at the administrative center of Gia Lai province (new) with a distance of about 180km. The departure time of the outbound bus is 3:15 am on Monday, the departure time of the return bus is 5:30 pm on Friday every week.
