Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chau Ngoc Tuan, emphasized that over 80 years of accompanying the nation, with 15 terms of operation, the Vietnamese National Assembly has continuously grown stronger, always worthy of its role as the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power organ, the embodiment of the great national unity, always placing the interests of the nation, the people and the country above all else, and has left glorious marks.
In keeping with the glorious history of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the delegations of National Assembly representatives from Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces throughout various periods have made extremely important contributions, leaving a deep impression on voters and the people. Over 15 terms, 63 National Assembly representatives have been elected from the former Gia Lai province, and 143 National Assembly representatives have been elected from the former Binh Dinh province.
On June 24, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 1703/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the Gia Lai Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly, comprising 14 delegates, including 6 central delegates and 8 local delegates. Comrade Chau Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was appointed as the Head of the Gia Lai Provincial Delegation to the 15th National Assembly (newly elected).

Continuing the tradition of previous generations of National Assembly deputies, the Head of the Gia Lai Provincial National Assembly Delegation stated that the 15th term of the Gia Lai Provincial National Assembly Delegation has strived and made worthy contributions, continuing the tradition of previous generations of National Assembly deputies from the province. During the term, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation organized 363 meetings with constituents, 31 thematic meetings with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; 63 regular citizen reception sessions with 202 citizens, receiving and processing 175 cases; receiving 1,077 petitions, including 414 complaints, 201 denunciations, and 462 requests. 180 petitions were forwarded to the competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
In addition, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation participated in 27 monitoring and survey delegations of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the National Ethnic Council , the Committees of the National Assembly, and central agencies; conducting 23 monitoring sessions and 2 thematic surveys at the local level. Through these activities, 328 specific recommendations were submitted to competent authorities, making a significant contribution to resolving difficulties and obstacles related to mechanisms, policies, and laws, while also helping to ensure more serious and effective law enforcement. In accordance with the functions and duties of National Assembly representatives as stipulated by law, at the sessions of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly representatives of Gia Lai province contributed over 770 opinions, playing a key role in deciding many major policies and decisions.
Comrade Chau Ngoc Tuan emphasized: "Today, in this atmosphere of unity, warmth, and camaraderie, yet also full of responsibility, we proudly look back at the precious legacy left by previous generations. That is the legacy of fervent patriotism, of the spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility; the legacy of unity and close, inseparable ties with the people. The Gia Lai Provincial Delegation to the 15th National Assembly wishes to inherit and develop that invaluable legacy. We deeply understand that the merger of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces has placed a greater responsibility on our shoulders, a new mission, and the continuation of the traditions of the Gia Lai and Binh Dinh National Assembly Delegations."
At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc affirmed that, looking back at the 80-year journey of formation and development, the Vietnamese National Assembly has continuously matured and grown stronger, always maintaining its particularly important role in the political system, closely connected with the people, and accompanying the nation through revolutionary periods, from the struggle for national independence and reunification to the process of reform, integration, and development. The General Election on January 6, 1946, was a historical milestone, opening a new era of revolutionary democracy and affirming the truth that "all state power belongs to the people."
In keeping with that glorious tradition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledges and highly appreciates the role, responsibility, and significant contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies from the province throughout the years. These comrades have inherited and promoted the revolutionary traditions of their homeland, always upholding a high sense of responsibility to the Party and the people; serving as a reliable bridge between voters and the National Assembly, between the Party's will and the people's aspirations. With their firm political stance, intellect, dedication, and tireless commitment, the National Assembly deputies of Gia Lai province have made many practical and high-quality contributions to legislative activities, supervision, and decision-making on important national issues; and have also played a crucial role in reflecting and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people of the province.

In practice, many recommendations and proposals from the Provincial National Assembly Delegation have been accepted and addressed by the National Assembly, the Government, and central agencies; thereby contributing to overcoming difficulties, promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and improving the lives of the people, especially in border areas, islands, ethnic minority regions, and remote areas. Through the training environment of the National Assembly, many delegates have matured, assumed important responsibilities, and continued to make significant contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. It can be affirmed that the history of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation is an inseparable part, closely linked to the glorious history of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
The Provincial Party Secretary stated that today's meeting is not only an opportunity to recall the glorious traditions and express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of National Assembly delegates, but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds, continue responsibilities, and inspire dedication to the development of Gia Lai province in the new era.
“The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front always appreciate and hope to continue receiving the heartfelt and responsible contributions of National Assembly delegates from all periods. These contributions will not only help to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, but also contribute intellect and experience to the leadership and guidance in preparing the content, conditions, and personnel for the election of National Assembly delegates for the 15th term and Provincial People's Council delegates for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring the correct standards, structure, and quality to meet the requirements of the new development phase. Through this, we will contribute to building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; promoting the strength of national unity; maintaining national defense and security; promoting science, technology, and innovation; and striving to build Gia Lai into a relatively developed province in the country.”
"Building on the 80-year tradition of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province believe that the generations of National Assembly delegates from our province will continue to spread the image of dedicated, responsible, people-oriented, understanding, and people-serving representatives, making worthy contributions to the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the sustainable development of the country," emphasized Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc.

At the meeting, former heads of the provincial National Assembly delegations and current National Assembly representatives from various periods shared valuable experiences in parliamentary activities, voter outreach, and oversight, reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people. Stories and memories of their journey as representatives of the people were recalled in a warm and sincere atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the sense of responsibility and close bond between National Assembly representatives and the voters and people of the province throughout different eras.
