Attending the meeting were representatives of departments, branches, some communes and wards in the province; Tourism Association, Culinary Culture Association and tourism businesses in the province.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 65-year journey of formation and development of Vietnam's tourism industry in general and Gia Lai tourism in particular. From a young economic sector, Vietnam's tourism has grown steadily, becoming an important comprehensive economic sector, contributing positively to the growth and socio-economic restructuring of the country.
In Gia Lai, the tourism industry has gradually affirmed its role as a key economic sector contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. In 2025, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism strives to welcome 11.8 million visitors, with tourism revenue estimated at VND28,500 billion. In the first 6 months of this year, nearly 7.4 million visitors were welcomed, with tourism revenue reaching more than VND17,340 billion.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed: "Gia Lai province has the potential advantage of "golden forests, silver seas", along with a synchronous transportation system with seaports, airports, train stations, bus stations, highways, border gates... creating favorable conditions for inter-regional connectivity, expanding the market and developing diverse and in-depth tourism products. This is an opportunity for Gia Lai tourism to rise to become a key economic sector, contributing to realizing the goal of making the province a new growth pole of the region".

Delegates attending the meeting also presented many papers focusing on groups of issues: Orientation for developing typical tourism products such as eco-tourism, historical-cultural tourism, community tourism; building tourism routes connecting the sea and islands of the Central region and the Central Highlands; promoting and building the Gia Lai tourism brand associated with digital transformation; building a safe, friendly, and sustainable destination; improving service quality, training tourism human resources, etc.

Through the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism clearly identified the orientation and key solutions to promote potential and affirm the position of tourism in the province's socio-economic development strategy in the new period.
