According to information from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), in June 2025, the HNX listed stock market had many fluctuations. The HNX-Index, after increasing sharply at the beginning of the month, decreased sharply in the middle of the month and tended to recover in the second half of the month, closing at 229.22 points, up 5.6% compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, liquidity in the market increased sharply, especially in the session with the strongest market decline of the month, investor transactions increased dramatically.
On average in June, the trading volume reached 93.69 million shares/session, up 20.02% and the trading value increased 35.26% to VND 1,685 billion/session. Of which, the trading session on June 13, 2025 had the highest trading volume and value of the month with 159.5 million shares equivalent to VND 2.7 trillion traded.
In terms of trading prices, the stock code with the strongest increase in June was SGD of Ho Chi Minh City-basedEducational Books JSC with a closing price increase of 109% at the end of the month, followed by QST of Quang Ninh Books and School Equipment JSC with an increase of 44.94%. Following that were KDM of GCL Group JSC with an increase of 42.62% and BBS of Vicem But Son Packaging JSC with an increase of 31.75%.
In terms of liquidity, the leading stock is CEO of CEO Group Corporation with a trading volume of 204.5 million shares (accounting for 10.3% of the total market), followed by SHS stock of Saigon-Hanoi Securities Corporation and PVS stock of Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation.
In June, the total transaction value of foreign investors on the listed market at HNX increased by 77% compared to the previous month. Of which, foreign investors bought more than VND1,807 billion and sold more than VND1,909 billion, with a net selling value of over VND102 billion.
Meanwhile, the self-trading activities of listed stocks at HNX of member securities companies decreased by 19.1% compared to the previous month, with a transaction value of more than VND414.3 billion (accounting for more than 2% of the total market), of which this group net sold more than VND171.1 billion.
By the end of June 2025, the HNX listed stock market had 310 listed enterprises with a total listing value of over VND 168.6 trillion. The market capitalization value at the end of the month trading session reached over VND 355.6 trillion, an increase of 1.5% compared to May 2025.
Recently, the Hanoi Stock Exchange also provided information on the implementation of the direction of the management agency on the implementation of Circular No. 69/2023/TT-BTC dated November 15, 2023 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 57/2021/TT-BTC dated July 12, 2021 of the Minister of Finance stipulating the roadmap for rearranging the stock trading market, bond trading market, derivatives trading market and other securities trading markets, regarding the work of receiving and reviewing listing registration dossiers, organizing stock trading, the Stock Exchanges shall implement the provisions in Clause 2, Clause 3, Clause 4, Article 1 of Circular No. 69/2023/TT-BTC.
Accordingly:
- From July 1, 2025: Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) receives and reviews listing registration dossiers, organizes trading of new shares of organizations that meet the listing conditions prescribed in Decree No. 155/2020-ND-CP;
- From July 1, 2025: HNX will not accept new stock listing registration applications from organizations;
- In case an organization has submitted a stock listing registration dossier to HNX before July 1, 2025 but has not been approved for listing, HNX is responsible for transferring the organization's listing registration dossier to HOSE before July 8, 2025 so that HOSE can continue to process the organization's listing registration dossier in accordance with the law.
