Leading gold brands such as SJC, DOJI , Bao Tin Minh Chau, Mi Hong, PNJ, Vietinbank Gold and Phu Quy all simultaneously adjusted their prices up, reflecting the vibrant developments of the precious metal market in the context of many fluctuations in the global economy.

Gold bars hit a new peak, Bao Tin Minh Chau had a sudden increase

This afternoon's trading session witnessed a significant breakthrough in gold bars. In all three major markets of Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, SJC gold bars increased by VND700,000/tael in both buying and selling directions, bringing the transaction price to VND120.7 million/tael (buying) and VND122.7 million/tael (selling). DOJI Group also recorded a similar increase.

Mi Hong listed the price of gold bars at 121.7 million VND/tael (buy) and 122.7 million VND/tael (sell), with an impressive increase of up to 900,000 VND/tael.

PNJ adjusted the buying price to 116.6 million VND/tael (up 700,000 VND/tael) and the selling price to 119.2 million VND/tael (up 200,000 VND/tael).

Vietinbank Gold only listed the selling price at 122.7 million VND/tael, an increase of 700,000 VND/tael.

Notably, Bao Tin Minh Chau recorded a record increase, bringing the buying price to 120.7 million VND/tael (up 700,000 VND/tael) and the selling price jumped to 122.7 million VND/tael (up 1.2 million VND/tael).

Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group also witnessed an increase of VND700,000/tael for both buying (VND120.2 million/tael) and selling (VND122.7 million/tael).

9999 gold ring price increased simultaneously

At the same time, the price of 9999 gold rings also recorded a strong increase.

DOJI's Hung Thinh Vuong 9999 round gold ring is listed at VND117.0 million/tael (buy) and VND119.5 million/tael (sell), an increase of VND400,000/tael in both directions. The buying and selling difference is stable at VND2.5 million/tael.

For plain gold rings, Bao Tin Minh Chau kept the price unchanged at 116.3 million VND/tael (buy) and 119.3 million VND/tael (sell) compared to early this morning, with a buying and selling difference of 3 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, Phu Quy Jewelry Group listed the price of gold rings at 116.2 million VND/tael (buy) and 119.2 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael for both directions. The difference between buying and selling prices remained at 3 million VND/tael.

Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,320 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 112.97 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Compared with the domestic SJC gold bar price on the same day (120.7-122.7 million VND/tael), the SJC gold price is currently about 9.73 million higher than the international gold price.

Today, July 23, 2025, the world gold market recorded a slight decrease. This was mainly due to news of a new trade agreement between the US and Japan, announced by US President Donald Trump. When the countries reached an agreement, investor anxiety decreased, causing them to seek less safe havens such as gold. In addition, the recovery of the US dollar and US government bond yields also contributed to the pressure on gold prices.

Spot gold fell 0.2% to $3,423.08 an ounce at 08:04 GMT, having touched its highest level since June 16 earlier in the session but later pared losses. US gold futures also fell 0.2% to $3,435.90.

Explaining this move, market analysts said that the trade agreement between the US and Japan has reduced the demand for safe haven gold. According to the agreement, the US will reduce import tariffs on cars and exempt other punitive tariffs for Japan, in return, Japan will invest and lend 550 billion USD to the US. This creates a positive signal for the economy, making investors less worried and withdraw money from gold to seek profits in riskier investment channels. In addition, the slight increase in the US dollar also makes gold more expensive for holders of other currencies, thereby reducing purchasing power.

In addition, the recovery of the yield on the 10-year US government bond from its lowest level in nearly two weeks also negatively affected the price of gold. Rising bond yields increase the opportunity cost of holding gold, because gold does not pay interest like bonds.

In this context, investors are also watching the US Federal Reserve (Fed) policy meeting scheduled for July 29-30. The market is expecting the Fed to keep interest rates unchanged.
