Domestic gold price today 7/9/2025
As of 3:30 p.m. on July 9, 2025, the domestic gold bar price decreased by 400,000 VND/tael compared to this morning. Specifically:
Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) today listed the selling price of SJC gold bars at 120.6 million VND/tael, down 400 thousand VND/tael compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, the buying price was listed at 118.6 million VND/tael.
Other large gold companies such as PNJ Company and Bao Tin Minh Chau also simultaneously adjusted the selling price of gold bars to be equal to the selling price of SJC gold bars at SJC Company.
Currently, the difference between buying and selling prices of SJC gold bars at large companies is commonly at 2 million VND/tael.
At Mi Hong gold shop, the selling price of SJC gold bars decreased by half a million VND/tael, to 120 million VND/tael, buying at 119 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling gold prices here is only 1 million VND/tael, half of the difference at large gold companies.
The selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company also had a similar decrease of 400,000 VND/tael, to 116.5 million VND/tael for selling price and 114 million VND/tael for buying price.
As of 3:30 p.m. on July 9, 2025, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold rings at DOJI was listed at 115-117 million VND/tael (buy - sell); the price decreased by 500 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 115-118 million VND/tael (buy - sell); the gold price decreased by 700 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
However, domestic gold prices today decreased very slowly compared to the rate of decline in the international market.

Compared to the highest level last night, the world gold price decreased by 41.97 USD/ounce to 3292.07 USD/ounce.
When converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is currently equivalent to 107.86 million VND/tael.
Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 12.74 million VND/tael higher, while the price of 9999 gold rings is 6.14 million VND/tael higher.
The world gold price broke through the $3,300/ounce mark amid market optimism about the possibility of new trade agreements between the US and China. This optimism has reduced demand for safe-haven assets such as gold.
In addition, the strengthening of the US dollar and higher US Treasury yields also put downward pressure on gold prices. When the dollar strengthens, gold becomes more expensive for investors using other currencies.
The world's largest gold ETF, SPDR Gold Trust, sold a net 1.2 tonnes of gold, reducing its holdings to 946.5 tonnes. This move reflects the cautious sentiment of institutional investors regarding the outlook for gold prices.
The market is currently waiting for the minutes of the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting as well as the speeches of Fed officials this week to predict the upcoming monetary policy.
Investors are expecting two rate cuts from the Fed this year, but the threat of inflation from tariffs could cause the Fed to delay a rate cut until next year, which could put downward pressure on gold as higher interest rates reduce the appeal of the non-yielding precious metal.
Expert Tran Duy Phuong said that the world gold price has increased recently due to the US tariff policy and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Currently, the two factors supporting the increase of gold are gradually cooling down significantly, so gold has temporarily lost support.
According to experts, the possibility of the world gold price suddenly increasing to 3,400 USD/ounce, 3,500 USD/ounce or even higher in July is unlikely. On the contrary, the world gold price faces the possibility of adjustment this July.
Given the current unfavorable factors, gold prices may continue to be under pressure in the coming time. However, gold still plays an important role as a safe haven asset in investment portfolios, especially during times of geopolitical or global economic uncertainty.
