SJC gold bar and 99.99 gold ring prices both decreased

(NLDO) – Gold prices today plummeted on the international market, causing the prices of SJC gold bars and 99.99 gold rings to fall simultaneously.

On the morning of December 31, SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at VND82.2 million/tael and the selling price at VND84.2 million/tael - down VND300,000 compared to yesterday. This is the third consecutive day of decline in the price of gold bars.

The trading price of gold bars at ACB Bank, Exinbank, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, DOJI is similar. Meanwhile, PNJ Company, Sacombank sells gold bars at 84.5 million VND/tael.

Not only gold bars, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also continued to decrease. SJC Company bought plain gold rings for 82.2 million VND/tael, sold for 84 million VND/tael - a decrease of 300,000 VND.

Gold price today decreased for the third consecutive day for SJC gold bars and 99.99 gold rings.

PNJ and Bao Tin Minh Chau companies sell plain gold rings at around VND84.5 million/tael; DOJI and Mi Hong sell at a lower price, around VND84.3 million/tael. Meanwhile, the buying price fluctuates from VND88.2 to VND83.4 million/tael.

In the past 3 days, the domestic gold price has decreased from 500,000 VND to 700,000 VND/tael. The domestic gold price has decreased for many consecutive days due to the influence of the world gold price.

In the international market, today's gold price is trading at 2,608 USD/ounce, down about 15 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.

Precious metal prices on the international market continued to decline as the USD index remained high, surpassing 107.7 points; US bond interest rates also remained high, surpassing 4.5%, attracting capital inflows from investors.

After many days of not surpassing the $2,650/ounce zone, gold prices have been under downward pressure and profit-taking pressure at the end of the year. However, if calculated from the beginning of 2024 until now, gold has still increased by about 30% - the strongest increase in many years.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 80.3 million VND/tael.
