SJC gold bar and gold ring prices again headed towards record highs on the morning of February 20

(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings continued to increase, approaching last week's record level, following the strong upward trend of world prices.

On the morning of February 20, the price of SJC bars was simultaneously increased by SJC, PNJ, DOJI companies to 89.8 million VND/tael for buying and 92.1 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 200,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday. This is the 4th consecutive day that the price of gold bars has increased, totaling nearly 1.8 million VND/tael.

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also increased strongly when listed businesses bought at around VND89.7 million/tael and sold at VND91.8 million/tael, an increase of VND100,000 compared to the end of February 19.

Some businesses raised the buying price to over 90 million VND/tael, such as Bao Tin Minh Chau Company bought up to 90.45 million VND/tael, sold 92.2 million VND/tael. PNJ Company traded gold rings around 90.1 million VND/tael for buying, 91.9 million VND/tael for selling.

Gold prices continue to increase in the domestic market today

Domestic gold prices increased following the increase in world gold prices. In the international market, gold prices today were traded at 2,937 USD/ounce, maintaining a high level compared to last night. Gold prices are also maintaining at a historical peak when surpassing the 2,900 USD/ounce mark.

Previously, on the evening of February 19, the world gold price broke a record, reaching a peak of 2,945 USD/ounce, then reversed and decreased slightly due to profit-taking pressure.

According to analysts, the domestic and foreign gold markets are being strongly affected by developments of the US Federal Reserve (FED) and US trade policies.

Recently, President Donald Trump continued to announce the possibility of imposing a 25% tax on imported cars, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals...

Investors continue to seek gold as a safe haven amid concerns about international trade tensions and negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine that have yet to yield positive results as expected.

The USD index maintained at its lowest level in about 2 months, around 106.9 points, also supporting the increase in gold prices.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 91 million VND/tael, lower than the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings from 800,000 VND to 1.2 million VND/tael.
