They had almost no opponents throughout this tournament. Regarding the Vietnamese men's team, he highly appreciated their resilient fighting spirit, but said that the team still had limitations in tactical organization and first-step handling.
In the Women's Volleyball event, the Vietnamese team performed excellently, winning the championship after three intense matches against the Indonesian team. The pair of athletes Nguyen Le Tuong Vy and Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, representing the Sanest Khanh Hoa team playing for the national team, had an impressive performance in the final match.
Despite losing in the first round, the two home athletes still maintained their confidence and bravery, successfully coming back in the next two rounds to win the final match.
The Vietnamese women's team raised the championship trophy after the awards ceremony at Nha Trang beach.
The match was exciting with thrilling score chases, demonstrating the equal strength and determination of both teams. At key moments, the Vietnamese team demonstrated tactical cohesion and stable mentality, affirming their position on the home field.
The victory at this tournament helped the couple Nguyen Le Tuong Vy - Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam win the official spot to represent Vietnam Women's Beach Volleyball to attend the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33), scheduled to be held in Thailand.
The Thai team finished third overall after winning the Bronze Medal match.
Expert Le Hoang Son commented: The Vietnamese female athletes had an unstable start, making mistakes in the serve and first step, but promptly adjusted their tactics, playing more cohesively and effectively in the following rounds. This victory is not only a professional achievement but also demonstrates maturity in the competitive spirit. This is an important stepping stone towards larger international tournaments in the future.
This year's tournament takes place from June 5 to 9 at Phu Dong Park, Nha Trang City, according to the competition rules of the World Volleyball Federation. The matches are held on two main courts and one warm-up court. The referee team is appointed by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, ensuring the fair, transparent and professional conduct of the tournament.
