On November 30, 2024, at the Bac Giang Provincial Sports Stadium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Provincial Association of the Elderly to organize the 2024 Bac Giang Provincial Elderly Volleyball Tournament - the 4th competition in the 2024 Traditional Elderly Health Festival program.
Men's team match at the tournament
There were 200 athletes representing 10 districts, towns and cities competing in 2 categories: men's and women's teams. This is an annual tournament for the elderly in the province, creating a useful playground for members to meet and exchange with the goal of "living happily, living healthily, living usefully", contributing to the development of the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
Mr. Duong Van Trong, Chairman of the Provincial Association of the Elderly, awarded the men's team with high achievements at the tournament.
After a day of exciting competition in the spirit of solidarity, honesty and nobility, the tournament was a great success. The Organizing Committee awarded 2 sets of prizes to the excellent teams in the 2 categories of men's and women's teams. Results for the men's team: First place for Bac Giang city team, Second place for Viet Yen team, Third place for Yen The and Luc Ngan teams; Women's team: First place for Bac Giang city team, Second place for Tan Yen team, Third place for Lang Giang and Viet Yen teams.
The leadership of the Provincial Elderly Association awarded the delegation flag to three excellent competing units at the Sports Festival.
Here, the Organizing Committee summarized and awarded the entire delegation of the 30th Bac Giang Provincial Traditional Elderly Fitness Festival in 2024 for the competition of 4 events: Table Tennis, Badminton, Physical Education and Volleyball.
