On April 8, 2024, at the VFF headquarters, the announcement ceremony of the main sponsor of the National Women's Football Championship for the period 2024 - 2026 and the draw for the 2024 season took place. The main sponsor of this year's tournament is Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited. This is the 13th consecutive year that this unit has been the main sponsor of the tournament.
This year's tournament has 8 teams participating, including: Ho Chi Minh City 1, Vietnam Coal and Minerals, Hanoi 1, Ha Nam , Hanoi II, Son La, Ho Chi Minh City II and Thai Nguyen T&T.
The teams will compete in a two-legged round-robin format (first and second leg) concentrated in the host locality to gain points, ranking from First to Eighth. Each team is allowed to replace up to 5 players in a maximum of 3 substitutions per match. The first leg will start from May 1 to June 1, 2024 in Ba Ria Vung Tau province, the second leg is scheduled to take place from July 2 to August 2, 2024 at the northern location.
The first leg of the tournament being held in Ba Ria Vung Tau promises to help the female players have more favorable conditions to compete as Ba Ria Vung Tau Stadium is one of the stadiums with the most beautiful grass in Vietnam.
The champion team will receive a prize of 500 million VND, the second-place team 300 million VND and the third-place team 200 million VND. The champion team will have the opportunity to participate in the Women's Asian Cup 1 next season.
