
The most important category - the Cricket Knight Award was given to musician Pham Tuyen for dedicating his life and career to children, with timeless musical works, including the book "Back to the Countryside - Children's Song" (co-authored by Pham Hong Tuyen).
General Director of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Vu Viet Trang attended the ceremony and presented the Cricket Knight Award to musician Pham Tuyen.
Promote and disseminate creative works for children
Speaking at the award ceremony, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang congratulated and shared joy with the success of the 6th De Men Children's Award - a season that continues to affirm its noble mission: to seek and honor literary and artistic works with the spirit of "for children", for the young generation, the future of the country. VNA General Director especially shared joy with musician Pham Tuyen, who received the De Men Knight Award this year, a title that shows the admiration and love of children, as well as the general public, for the musician.
VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang emphasized that since its inception, the De Men Award has not only been an artistic playground but also a place to foster imagination, compassion and dreams.

“We are deeply moved and honored to continue to receive enthusiastic responses from a large number of authors, including both veteran writers and young talents, the brave and creative “Cricket Knights”. The Organizing Committee would like to thank the authors, members of the Jury, media agencies, accompanying units, especially the children, who have inspired the De Men Awards to grow stronger and spread”, General Director Vu Viet Trang shared.
The General Director of VNA hopes that each honored work will not only stop at the award but also be a companion to children throughout their innocent and creative childhood.
Appreciating the first collaboration of the De Men Award with the VietnamEducation Publishing House and De Men Ambassador Nguyen Van Chung, General Director Vu Viet Trang hopes that these companions for children will have an increasingly greater appeal, contributing to further promoting literary and artistic creation activities for children, spreading those creations further to children. At the same time, contributing to building the young generation of Vietnam, the owners of the era of national development, strong, confident and humane.

At the award ceremony, journalist Nguyen Thien Thuat, Editor-in-Chief of Sports and Culture Newspaper (VNA), Head of the Organizing Committee shared: "This year, the Organizing Committee was very moved to receive hundreds of works from all over the country, from professional writers to children who are just starting to hold a pen, from comics, short stories, poems, to fine arts and performances. Each work is a separate world, full of emotions and surprises."
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, journalist Nguyen Thien Thuat would like to thank the authors, parents, and teachers who have accompanied and spread the spirit of the De Men Award throughout the past time; and send deep gratitude to the Vietnam Education Publishing House, press and media agencies, those who have contributed to helping children's dreams fly far.
"Hopefully, the Cricket Awards will continue to ignite the flames of creativity, so that Vietnamese children's literature and art can fly higher and further," journalist Nguyen Thien Thuat expressed.
Knight De Men honors musician Pham Tuyen

The Organizing Committee announced the results of the 6th De Men Children's Award - 2025 with 1 De Men Knight Award, 5 De Men Aspiration Awards out of a total of 10 works, a group of works that entered the final round of the award.
The most important award - the Cricket Knight Award was given to musician Pham Tuyen for dedicating his life and career to children with timeless musical works, including the book "Back to the Hometown - Children's Song" (co-authored by Pham Hong Tuyen).

Five Cricket Aspiration Awards were given to the following authors and works: A series of paintings by child artist Pham Hai Nguyen (13 years old); “There is a flat Earth in your eyes”, a manuscript of a poetry collection by author Ly Thang Long; “The ancient book of a goddess”, a story by author Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy, Kim Dong Publishing House; two stories by Dy Duyen: “From the vegetable fields on Cuc Cu farm” (Drawn by Dom Dom) and “The things you use to fill a hole” (Drawn by Thanh Vu), published by Kim Dong Publishing House; The story “The farm at the end of the forest” by author Pham Cong Luan, Kim Dong Publishing House.
The Organizing Committee also awarded the Certificate of Finalist for the De Men Children's Award to the authors and works: Manuscript of the novel "120 years of wandering of the Greek gray turtle" by author Dang Chuong Ngan; Manuscript of the poetry collection "A oi" by author Vu Thi Thanh Tam, illustrated by Windy Truc Hoang; Comic book "The Adventures of Captain Sinbad: The Great War of the Mermaid" by artist Quang Thao and Comicola Studio, Dan Tri Publishing House; Medium story "Train Street Dormitory" by author Dang Ngoc Hung, Tre Publishing House.

In the 2025 season, the Organizing Committee invited musician Nguyen Van Chung to be the Inspirational Ambassador of the De Men Children's Award with the desire to encourage, motivate and further spread the unique artistic creations of children and for children, contributing to enriching cultural life, improving children's tastes and aesthetics. The companionship of an Inspirational Ambassador like musician Nguyen Van Chung helps the award connect more deeply with the community, not only in the art world but also to schools, families, educational and cultural organizations. With his influence, musician Nguyen Van Chung has contributed to spreading positive values, inspiring creativity and encouraging children to dare to write, dare to draw, dare to dream and dare to tell their own stories.
Expressing his honor to accompany the 2025 Cricket Awards, musician Nguyen Van Chung emotionally said: “I believe that in every child is a magical childhood world. If we sow the seeds of kindness, love and creativity, they will blossom into trees of life full of fragrant flowers and sweet fruits. I am honored to accompany the 2025 Cricket Awards - a place to inspire and spread the best things to Vietnamese children”.

The De Men Children's Award was founded by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) and organized annually since 2020 to award outstanding artistic compositions and performances "by children" (children are the creative subjects) or "for children" (children are the service objects), including 1 Grand Prize named Cricket Knight, equal prizes named Cricket Desire, and a number of Awards from the Jury, depending on the actual situation of each season.
The jury is chaired by poet Tran Dang Khoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association; members include painter Thanh Chuong, Associate Professor - Doctor Ngo Van Gia, poet Nguyen Tien Thanh, journalist Nguyen Thien Thuat and a standing committee with faces such as poet Huynh Trong Khang, journalist Nguyen Thanh Binh, lecturer Nguyen Hoang Duong, poet Yen Khuong, curator Ha Van Bay...

Over the past 5 seasons, 3 Cricket Knight Awards have been awarded to writers Nguyen Nhat Anh (2020), Tran Duc Tien (2023), Ly Lan (2024) along with 23 Cricket Aspiration Awards, 4 Awards given to domestic and foreign artists, including 7 child authors.
In the 6th season of 2025, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 Cricket Knight Award and 5 Cricket Aspiration Awards to outstanding authors and works in many different literary and artistic genres such as literature, painting, and music.
