On the afternoon of August 20, in Hanoi , Nhan Dan Newspaper officially announced the third Human Act Prize, 2025, with the theme "Persevering in service".

The Human Act Prize is a national award, hosted by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with VCCorp Joint Stock Company, annually to honor individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to the community through projects with sustainable social impact.

Speaking at the award announcement ceremony, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Award Organizing Committee emphasized that “Persevering in service” is the spirit of the Human Act Prize 2025 - a spirit that is both close and great, both quiet and fierce. With that spirit, the Human Act Prize 2025 continues to seek and honor individuals and organizations that are implementing projects for the community, regardless of scale, starting point or field of activity.

"Serving the community is not only a noble ideal, but also a courageous choice. People who persevere to the end on the path they believe in deserve to be spread, supported and honored, so that sustainable human values can be lit up and extended throughout society," comrade Le Quoc Minh shared.

New season highlights

For the first time, the Human Act Prize is launching a free training program for community leaders running small and medium-sized projects, helping them improve their management, fundraising, communication and sustainability skills. A “Project Mentorship” mechanism has been established, creating opportunities for large projects and reputable experts to directly support small and medium-sized initiatives.

The Jury was also expanded with more members, including many domestic and foreign experts, providing a fair and multi-dimensional evaluation process. In particular, UNICEF officially participated as a Sustainable Development Advisor, contributing in-depth knowledge on children's rights, inclusion and social impact, and accompanying a typical youth-led initiative after the award ceremony.

A notable new feature is the exhibition “Action for the community” which will be held right at the Nhan Dan Newspaper campus, directly connected to the Hoan Kiem Lake walking space (Hanoi). Instead of just displaying information, the exhibition space will tell stories through real artifacts such as products made from recycled materials, waste materials, items made from processed bomb shells, products of people with disabilities and environmentally friendly initiatives... Each artifact not only bears the mark of creativity, but is also a symbol of revival and the spirit of serving the community.

Projects participating in the Human Act Prize 2025 will be evaluated based on 5 main criteria groups:

Commitment: Demonstrated through the level of finance, time and long-term development plan that an individual or organization dedicates to the project; at the same time, promoting transparency in the implementation process.

Sustainability: Assesses the ability of the community to continue to maintain and develop the project in the absence of initial resources through the level of community participation, the longevity of the impact, and the ability to be independent of donors.

Creativity: Recognizes new approaches, breakthrough solutions or unique models that address a specific social problem, creating new value for the community.

Impact: Measures the actual impact and scale of the project, including the number of beneficiaries, the improvement in their lives, as well as the contribution to national and international sustainable development goals.

Spreadability: Assesses the ability to replicate, inspire and create positive effects for the community through an easy-to-apply operating model that is imbued with humanistic values and has a clear strategic direction.

The community nomination portal and project registration portal for the official prize will open from August 20, 2025 at: https://humanactprize.org/congdongdecu

According to the schedule, the registration portal will close on October 10, after which the projects will go through the preliminary round (October 21) and the results will be announced (October 23). The exhibition and the final round will take place from November 14 to 23. The awarding gala will take place on December 13 in Hanoi.
