Gala Table Tennis Championship, the First Vietnam Table Tennis Festival in 2025 in Bac Giang - News details

This morning, March 15, 2025, at the Bac Giang Provincial Sports Stadium, CKAV Bac Giang International Event Organization Company Limited coordinated with the Table Tennis Department of the Department of Sports and Physical Training to organize the opening ceremony of the Gala Table Tennis Championship, the first Vietnam Table Tennis Festival in 2025, with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang providing professional assistance.

The tournament attracted nearly 250 athletes from 23 delegations of clubs, federations, associations, centers, provinces, cities, and industries across the country and 1 delegation of athletes from NanGoo Table Tennis Club of Guangxi Province, China.

Athletes compete in 5 events: ABC team, DEF team, ABC single, DEF single, women's single. After the qualifying round, the athletes who enter the round of 16 will compete with Chinese athletes in a knockout format.

The tournament will be held from March 14 to 16, 2025 to celebrate Vietnam Sports Day (March 27). At the same time, it will create conditions for athletes to compete to improve their skills, practice their psychology and competition techniques and tactics, and meet and exchange with international athletes.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Bac, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang and the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to athletes with high achievements at the tournament.

After 3 days of competition with many exciting and attractive matches, the tournament ended successfully. The Organizing Committee awarded the Cup and 5 sets of medals to the excellent athletes in the events./.
