National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Gia Lai 2025 takes place from August 18 to 23

After three seasons, the National Golf Championship has become the most prestigious golf tournament in Vietnam, contributing significantly to the development of the golf movement, making golf a popular sport, and providing a high-class playground for golfers, giving wings to Vietnamese golf talents. In the fourth season, the National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Gia Lai 2025 took place at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Dong Ward, Gia Lai Province.

"This is the first time Gia Lai province as well as FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon have hosted the National Golf Championship, a prestigious, national-scale and meaningful event," said Mr. Bui Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, during the meeting. "In addition to the sports aspect, the tournament also helps introduce and promote the cultural values, resources, and typical tourism products of the province to attract investment in socio-economic development, and develop tourism associated with sports events."

Mr. Bui Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, highlighted the stature of the National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Gia Lai 2025.

Journalist Le Minh Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, expressed his joy when the National Golf Championship came to Gia Lai province in 2025, especially in the context of Gia Lai province just merging with Binh Dinh province.

In the meeting on the afternoon of July 29, Gia Lai province and Tien Phong newspaper agreed on many important contents in the coordination and organization of the National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Gia Lai 2025, from preparing facilities, communications to security and order and health; all aimed at creating a successful tournament, both in terms of expertise and dissemination, while ensuring organization in accordance with regulations, with focus and high efficiency.

The National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Gia Lai 2025 is scheduled to take place from August 18 to August 23 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon. The tournament brings together 150 of the best golfers in the country, including professional golfers of Vietnamese nationality, amateur athletes with a handicap index no higher than 5.0 for men and 10.0 for women.

During the 4 days of competition, golfers will compete in stroke play format over 4 rounds of 18 holes (total of 72 holes). After the first 36 holes, the Organizing Committee will make a cut to select the 50 male golfers and 12 female golfers with the best results to advance. The winner is the player with the lowest total score at the end of the tournament.

The total prize fund for this year's tournament is 1.2 billion VND, of which 1 billion VND is for the men's division and 200 million VND is for the women's division. The men's division champion will receive 180 million VND, while the women's division champion will receive 60 million VND.
