The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, and to award Party badges on September 2.
At the ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee awarded Party Badges to 66 outstanding Party members of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. Of which, 1 Party member received the 50-year Badge, 3 Party members received the 45-year Badge, 15 Party members received the 40-year Badge and 30 Party members received the 30-year Badge.
Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - is one of the Party members of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Party Committee receiving the 30-year Party Badge on this occasion.
Mr. Tran The Thuan, 58 years old, has a master's degree in Party building and state administration, a bachelor's degree in administration, and a bachelor's degree in politics . Mr. Thuan has held positions such as Chairman of District 1 People's Committee, Chief of Office of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and then Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports since September 2020.
On the same day, the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies also held a ceremony to celebrate and award Party badges on September 2. Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - attended and awarded Party badges to Party members.
There are 30 party members of the Party Committee of the City Party agencies awarded Party badges this time.
On this occasion, the Party Committees of Ben Thanh and Nhieu Loc wards and Chau Duc commune (HCMC) also held meetings and awarded Party badges for the 2-9 period.
Of which, Ben Thanh Ward Party Committee has 48 party members, Nhieu Loc Ward Party Committee has 62 and Chau Duc Commune Party Committee has 5 party members receiving Party badges.
Former Chairwoman of the City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le, former Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Than Thi Thu and Mr. Nguyen Chi Trung - member of the City Party Committee's Standing Committee, permanent deputy head of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee - attended and awarded Party badges to Party members in Nhieu Loc ward.
Ho Chi Minh City leaders visit and present gifts to outstanding people
On the same day, a delegation of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong visited and presented gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
In Hoa Hung ward, the delegation visited Mr. Tong Viet Tiem (born in 1932), a pre-uprising cadre. Mr. Thong kindly asked about his health and wished Mr. Tiem to always live happily and healthily; to continue to be a spiritual support for his children and grandchildren and a shining example for local cadres, party members and people.
Also in Hoa Hung ward, the delegation visited Mr. Hoang Ngoc Thuong (born in 1930), a veteran revolutionary cadre. At the same time, the delegation also visited Mrs. Tran Thi Phat (born in 1922, residing in Dien Hong ward), a veteran revolutionary cadre, whose husband was a martyr.
Here, Mr. Thong shared that the Party Committee, government and people of the city will forever remember the great contributions of previous generations; continue to take better care of the lives of those with meritorious services, and at the same time strive to build a civilized, modern and humane Ho Chi Minh City.
On the same day, a delegation led by Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Huynh Thanh Nhan visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and veteran revolutionary cadres on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Mr. Nhan and the delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Duong Kim Lan (born in 1933, Tan Son Nhat ward). Her husband, martyr Do Duy Phong, died in 1966 and her son, martyr Do Kim Hoa, died in 1971, is currently living with her daughter.
Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Hoang Trinh (born in 1935, Bay Hien ward), a pre-uprising cadre.
