Supervising the 2025 rural and agricultural census in Quang Tri province

Today, July 9, the Supervisory Delegation of the Central Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao, an officer of the Statistical Investigation Department, General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), came to inspect and supervise the implementation of the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census in Quang Tri province. Working with the Supervisory Delegation were leaders of the Quang Tri Provincial Statistics Department.

With the motto of sticking closely to the grassroots, the monitoring team directly worked with the Steering Committee of Bo Trach commune, and together with investigators, conducted sample surveys at 10 households and 2 farms in the commune.

According to the report from the Bo Trach Commune Steering Committee, although there were many difficulties in the process of operating the new apparatus based on the merger of 4 communes: Cu Nam, Hung Trach, Van Trach, Phu Dinh.

However, determining that the 2025 rural and agricultural census is a very important task, the commune leaders quickly completed the commune-level Steering Committee with 10 members; sent 59 investigators and 4 team leaders to participate in training on general census techniques.

The whole commune has 7,035 households subject to the survey, of which 7,222 households were surveyed in full questionnaires; 45 households were surveyed using sample questionnaires for agriculture, forestry and fishery. By July 8, 1,202 household questionnaires had been completed, reaching 16.5% of the plan.

Due to some difficulties and problems in the implementation process, the Steering Committee of Bo Trach commune proposed to the Central Supervisory Delegation a number of issues: The content of the survey form is quite long and complicated, leading to a long interview time; the budget to support the establishment of household lists is low, affecting the psychology of the investigators; requesting the Central Steering Committee to extend the time for collecting information at the grassroots level by 10 to 15 days due to the impact of the process of arranging the commune-level government apparatus...

During the working process as well as on-site inspection and supervision, the Central Supervision Delegation recorded the difficulties, obstacles and achievements of Bo Trach commune as well as Quang Tri province in implementing the 2025 rural and agricultural census.

The recommendations and proposals of the Bo Trach Commune Steering Committee and the Quang Tri Provincial Steering Committee will be recorded by the Monitoring Team and forwarded to the Central Steering Committee.
