The 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hai Phong City, term 2024 - 2029, is an important political event to raise awareness and responsibility of the entire political system and people of all walks of life in implementing the Party's guidelines and strategies on strengthening and promoting the strength of great national unity. The Congress took place over two days, July 31 and August 1, with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development".
During the past term, the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front organized more than 2,600 independent monitoring sessions, and coordinated and participated in monitoring over 4,000 sessions, focusing on contents and areas that many people are interested in. In particular, monitoring the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members is a bright spot in the activities of the Hai Phong Fatherland Front.
Praising the results that the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front has achieved in recent times, Chairman Do Van Chien suggested 5 contents for the Congress to focus on discussing and agreeing on for implementation.
Speaking at the Congress, Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau affirmed: The outstanding results of Hai Phong City in recent times have had the participation and very important contributions of the city's Fatherland Front system at all levels and its member organizations.
Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau suggested that in the coming time, the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front should proactively seek opinions from the Party Committee and proactively coordinate with the government to propose and develop work programs, especially patriotic emulation movements and campaigns that closely follow the city's major policies and decisions and urgent issues from the grassroots level.
“The Front needs to select a number of key contents to develop into thematic areas to create highlights such as: Coordinating with local authorities to mobilize people to comply with Party regulations and State laws on land recovery and site clearance to implement socio-economic development projects; Mobilizing people to participate in solving ineffective mini water plants; Building civilized, model urban areas, implementing social policies, and sustainable poverty reduction...”, Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau suggested.
The Congress democratically elected 93 members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, term XV, 2024-2029; unanimously elected the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front Delegation to attend the 10th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, including 9 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
Mr. Dao Trong Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, term XIV, 2019-2024, was elected by consultation to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, term XV, 2024-2029.
