Hai Phong is about to receive the title "Heroic City"

Hai Phong City will receive the title of "Heroic City" at the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day on May 13.

On April 28, 2025,the President signed Decision No. 766/QD-CTN conferring the title "Heroic City" on the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Phong City for their outstanding and comprehensive achievements, making great contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

This decision of the President meets the expectations of the entire government and people of the city, and is a worthy recognition of the great efforts and contributions of the government and people of Hai Phong City to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense. At the same time, it affirms the spirit of "Loyalty - Determination to Win" will always be the guiding light for Hai Phong to firmly enter a new era - the era of national development.

With this decision, Hai Phong continues to stand shoulder to shoulder with major cities across the country, including Ho Chi Minh City, which was awarded the title of “Heroic City” in 2005, and Hanoi, which was awarded the title of “Heroic Capital” in 2000.

The city will officially receive this noble title at the 70th anniversary celebration of Hai Phong Liberation Day held on May 13.
