At the conference, the Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Organizing Committee (KVPT) announced the decisions and plans for assigning tasks to the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee; directed and guided agencies and units to do a good job of preparation; advised the Steering Committee to deploy and mobilize forces, means, and materials to participate in the exercise according to the intentions of the Military Region and Provincial Steering Committees. According to the plan, the 2023 Provincial Defense Zone Exercise will take place in 3.5 days (expected in September 2023) with 3 phases and 8 training issues.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee, requested that members of the Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee, agencies, units and localities continue to study to raise awareness in a profound and comprehensive way of theoretical and practical issues in building and operating defense zones that have been trained; creatively apply them to the leadership and direction of building defense zones, in accordance with the characteristics and situation of each agency, unit and locality; ensure good preparation and practice of defense zone exercises in the province to achieve high quality, efficiency and close to reality.

Conference overview.

Through the conference, the key leaders of the province and the training participants will better understand and improve their awareness of the theory of KVPT; better understand the position, role and importance of building KVPT in the new situation; understand the process and order of the steps of organizing the drill. From there, apply creatively, flexibly and effectively to direct their agencies, units and localities to do a good job of preparing for the KVPT drill in the coming time.
