Mr. Nguyen Cong Phuc Khanh, Vice Principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School (District 1), said that the school assigned 1 teacher to take charge of natural science and 1 teacher to take charge of history and geography. Although it is a "key" school in District 1, gathering a team of skilled teachers, according to Mr. Khanh, it is not without difficulties, it must be based on the spirit of self-study and professional activities in the direction of researching lessons for teaching. Regarding the subject of local education, Mr. Khanh said that the school assigned 1 teacher who previously taught history and geography to teach grades 6 and 7. "In the previous year, due to a lack of teachers, the subject of local education at Nguyen Du Secondary School was organized in the form of teaching by topic, each professional group would prepare a local topic according to the subject of that group, teaching 1 Saturday with 4 periods" - Mr. Khanh said.

The way Nguyen Du Secondary School does is also the way that the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City accepts and encourages in the context of a shortage of teachers and the lack of training resources from pedagogical colleges. Up to now, according to Mr. Khanh, teachers have been steady in their teaching hours, confident and no longer "complain". Looking at the reality at Nguyen Du Secondary School, it shows that difficulties do not spare any educational institution, but in the context of having no other choice, teachers have to shoulder the burden themselves while pedagogical colleges have not yet trained integrated teachers.
