According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (April 23), a cold air mass is moving south from the North.
It is forecasted that around the night of April 24, this cold air will affect some places in the northern mountainous region of the North, then affect other places in the Northeast, North Central and some places in the Northwest. Northeast wind inland will gradually strengthen to level 2-3; coastal areas level 3-4.
From April 25-26, the weather in the Northeast and North Central regions will turn cool. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the Northeast will generally be 20-23 degrees Celsius, and in mountainous areas, it will be below 19 degrees Celsius.
In Hanoi , the lowest temperature is 24 degrees, the highest is from 28-30 degrees.
On the night of April 23 and the morning of April 24, in the mountainous areas of the North, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, in some places over 50mm.
From the afternoon of April 24-25, in the North, there will be moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm/24 hours, in some places over 70mm/24 hours.
On April 25-26, from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm/24 hours, in some places over 50mm/24 hours.
Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas.
