The Hue City delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee. The event attracted many delegates, along with 100 travel agencies, airlines, and media outlets from South Korea.

The program aims to promote the image of Central Vietnam, with Hue and Quang Tri as its center, as a diverse destination rich in cultural identity, stunning natural beauty, and attractive tourism services, while also fostering cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean tourism businesses.

Speaking at the event, Standing Committee member of the Hue City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, Nguyen Thanh Binh, stated: In 2025, Hue City is expected to welcome approximately 6.3 million visitors, including nearly 1.9 million international tourists and around 20,000 South Korean tourists (ranking among the top 13 leading international tourist markets to Hue). Quang Tri province is expected to welcome 9.6 million visitors in 2025; of which the estimated number of international visitors will reach 450,000. The number of tourists from South Korea is estimated at around 4,000, mainly high-end tourists, those seeking resort stays combined with golf, and some cultural and educational exchange programs for students…

According to Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, promoting direct flights between Hue and major cities in South Korea will bring many practical benefits: shortening travel time, making these two localities more convenient destinations in Vietnamese tourism; creating conditions for the formation of all-inclusive tours combining relaxation, golf, heritage, cuisine, and health care; and opening up new cooperation opportunities for airlines, travel businesses, and investors from both sides.

In this program, Hue City and Quang Tri Province jointly organized many activities to promote and develop local tourism, including: Introducing destinations, events, festivals, tourism products and services, especially tourism stimulus programs; screening films about destinations, culture, tourism, and OCOP products; and a B2B space for tourism businesses to exchange information, introduce products and services, and sign cooperation agreements with partners.
