The Huawei Mate X5 features a 6.4-inch LTPO OLED external display with a resolution of 2,504 x 1,080 pixels, a 20.9:9 aspect ratio, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a 7.85-inch foldable LTPO OLED internal display with a resolution of 2,496 x 2,224 pixels, an 8:7.1 aspect ratio, and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. Both displays support refresh rates of 1Hz-120Hz, 10-bit color, P3 color gamut, and 1440Hz high-frequency dimming.
The smartphone comes in two configurations (12GB RAM + 512GB ROM and 16GB RAM + 512GB ROM). In terms of photography, the device features a triple rear camera setup (50MP + 13MP + 12MP) and an 8MP front sensor. The Mate X5 runs on Harmony OS 4.0.
Powering the product is a 5,060mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The device boasts other features such as dual SIM, NM memory card slot, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, 2D facial recognition unlock, USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1), bidirectional satellite connectivity, and IPX8 water resistance. It measures 156.9 x 72.4 x 11.08 mm when folded and 156.9 x 141.5 x 5.3 mm when unfolded.
The manufacturer has not yet announced the price of the Huawei Mate X5.
