Despite their diverse ages, circumstances, and backgrounds, these activities create a "common home" for women, where they share, overcome life's difficulties, and find ways to build warm and happy families. Through these gatherings, family members have more time to understand and empathize with each other.
Ms. Dang Thi Bao, the club's chairperson, shared: "The Happy Family Building Club of the village was established in October 2014. Starting with only 5 couples, the club now attracts 12 couples, equivalent to 24 members, all of whom are ethnic minorities. During club meetings, the club's management board disseminates legal knowledge, prevents social evils from infiltrating families, teaches childcare and parenting skills, provides health advice, encourages economic development, and fosters community spirit, creating a united, joyful, and vibrant atmosphere..."
On the occasion of the annual Vietnamese Family Day on August 26th, the clubs organize widespread activities, incorporating many rich contents through cultural exchange programs, seminars, and awarding exemplary happy families...
Ms. Giang Thi Cai said: "Thanks to participating in the club, my husband and I have gained an understanding of the Marriage and Family Law, the Gender Equality Law, ways to prevent social evils, raising children, and how to behave between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law... This has helped us raise our children well and avoid having a third child, advise each other on business development, and build a happy family together."
Mr. Ma Thanh Binh and Ms. Luong Thi Tien shared: “My wife and I are very excited and happy to participate in the Happy Family Building Club. We consider it our second home, where we can freely share and exchange secrets to maintaining family harmony and creating a united and joyful atmosphere.”
In addition, the club has established a "Self-Reliance Fund" with over 11 million VND, which aims to support members with capital to invest in farming, livestock breeding, small-scale trading, and developing family economies, thereby strengthening neighborly relations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi An, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Kien Thiet commune, said: "The Happy Family Building Club in Pac Nghieng village is the first club in the commune that has maintained very effective activities. People in the village can interact, exchange, learn, and share experiences in raising healthy children, teaching them good behavior, and finding ways to build warm and happy families together; sharing and helping each other develop family economies, and building strong solidarity and neighborly love."
Through practical and effective methods, the Happy Family Building Club of Pac Nghieng village has demonstrated tangible results, gradually contributing to reducing domestic violence, gender imbalance, and promoting and preserving the fine traditions of Vietnamese families.
