Ca Mau Provincial Police actively advises local Party committees and authorities to guide, monitor and urge agencies, sectors, political and social organizations to carry out community reintegration work in accordance with the provisions of law. At the same time, propagate and disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws in ensuring community reintegration to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, organizations, social unions and people to eliminate prejudice and discrimination, actively care for and help people who have completed their sentences to return to their localities, quickly stabilize their lives, and reintegrate into the community...
It is determined that most of those who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their localities are in difficult circumstances, without jobs or unstable income sources, making it difficult to reintegrate into the community. Accordingly, the police at all levels proactively advise and coordinate with local authorities to grasp the thoughts, aspirations, and family circumstances of those who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their localities; regularly help and support in many forms, such as: job introduction, capital support, means, production tools, etc. With the hope that those who have completed their prison sentences will have stable jobs to support themselves and their families, and will not re-offend or violate the law.
Ca Mau Provincial Police visited the economic model of reformed people who received loans to increase production.
In particular, immediately after the Prime Minister 's Decision 22 on credit for people who have completed their prison sentences took effect, the Provincial Police at all levels coordinated with departments, branches, and organizations, especially the Social Policy Bank, to actively review, consider, and well implement the lending processes and procedures to ensure strictness, correct subjects, and compliance with regulations. From 2023 to present, the Provincial Police have reviewed and made a list of 350 cases of loans with an amount of 19 billion VND. Of which, the Social Policy Bank has disbursed loans to 242 cases, with an amount of nearly 6 billion VND. Thereby, contributing to creating the most favorable conditions for people who have completed their prison sentences and production and business establishments to access preferential capital sources, so that they can feel secure in doing business and developing their family economy.
Colonel Bui Xuan Khoi, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Provincial Police, said: “Helping those who have completed their prison sentences to return to their locality and reintegrate into the community is a policy that demonstrates the humanity of our Party and State. This is one of the solutions to contribute to ensuring security and order in the locality.
In the coming time, to make the reintegration work for those who have completed their prison sentences in the province more effective, it is necessary for the entire political system and the people to join hands in orienting, encouraging, and motivating to eliminate prejudice and discrimination to help those who have completed their prison sentences return to their localities to strive to develop the economy, stabilize their lives, and become rich legitimately.
