Runner-up Tuong San "surpasses An Nhi" to win a ticket to compete in Miss International Queen 2024

On the evening of May 31, the Organizing Committee of Miss International Queen Vietnam (Miss Transgender Vietnam) posted a special broadcast with content recording the intense competition between runner-up Tuong San and runner-up An Nhi to find the owner of the ticket to compete in Miss International Queen Vietnam 2024.

Before the confrontation with runner-up Tuong San, An Nhi - 2nd runner-up Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 could not hide her anxiety about this opportunity. She revealed that she had fully prepared in all aspects for over a year. Meanwhile, Tuong San - 1st runner-up Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 admitted that this was a memorable journey when facing a "formidable" opponent like runner-up An Nhi, making her even more "cautious". What is special about the confrontation between Tuong An - An Nhi is that both girls are sisters who were on the same team of coach - runner-up Thuy Tien at the previous Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 contest.

At the end of the performance round, runner-up Tuong San and runner-up An Nhi entered the behavioral answer round with different topics in many fields. In response to the question: "Is a beauty queen required to carry out community projects?" , runner-up An Nhi expressed her support: "Today, we are not only looking for a beautiful, intelligent beauty queen, but that person needs to have a warm heart, know how to care for people and having community projects is also important."

As for Tuong San, she argued: “I want to change the word "required" in the above question to "encouraged" because each contest has different characteristics, principles and actions. Therefore, it depends on what the organization wants to aim for.”

In response to the question: "In your opinion, what are the qualities of a modern transgender woman and why?" , runner-up An Nhi gave a bilingual answer: "I think that girl is not only smart and beautiful, but also always knows how to listen and care for the people around her. Because I believe Miss International Queen is not only a title but also a process...".

Runner-up Tuong San gave a convincing bilingual answer: “In my opinion, the most valuable quality is to have confidence in yourself, always believe in your own worth and I am the representative of that because I always believe in my own worth. I do not try to learn or compete to become a copy of someone else…”.

Before officially announcing the Vietnamese representative to compete in Miss International Queen 2024, Miss Huong Giang could not hide her emotions when looking back at the journey of overcoming difficulties in work and life of runner-up Tuong San and runner-up An Nhi. "Both of you always deserve to step onto the Miss International Queen stage once. The strength of the two of you sometimes makes me very sad," Miss Huong Giang expressed.

As a result, Tuong San - 1st Runner-up Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 has officially become the representative of Vietnam to compete in Miss International Queen 2024.

Who is runner-up Tuong San competing in Miss International Queen 2024?

Runner-up Tuong San (birth name Nguyen Hoang Bao Phuc) was born in 2005 in Khanh Hoa . Although Miss Transgender Vietnam 2023 is the first beauty pageant Tuong San has participated in, she is highly appreciated for her outstanding beauty.

It is known that the beauty from Khanh Hoa participated in this beauty contest only 12 days after undergoing gender reassignment surgery. Therefore, during the process of participating in Miss Transgender Vietnam 2023, Tuong San was often tired and had health problems because the wound was still bleeding and secreting pus.

Before the semi-finals of Miss Transgender Vietnam 2023, Tuong San shared with PV Dan Viet : "I remember at that time I just lay in one place, not daring to move because I was afraid of tearing the stitches. When I stood up to move, I was very tired and in a lot of pain. During that time, I was easily dizzy and lost energy. When I think back, my actions were dangerous but worth it. When filming, my wound was still open, so I had to change my sanitary napkin 3-4 times a day because there was a lot of blood and fluid flowing."

Referring to her transgender journey, the beauty born in 2005 said that she decided to keep her studies and work as a waitress at a coffee shop, a bar, and a tennis court ball boy. "I'm happy to be able to transition at the age of 17," the 1m79 tall beauty once emotionally said.
