Main construction package in the interchange project

The Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has just announced the results of selecting a contractor to implement package No. 9 for construction of the project to invest in building an interchange connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, Hai Duong province.

Accordingly, the consortium of Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company - Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - Thinh Vuong TVT Joint Stock Company won the bid with a price of more than VND 871 billion through open bidding.

This is the main construction package of the Project "Investment in construction of the interchange connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, Hai Duong province" in Kim Thanh district and Kinh Mon town. The project has a total investment of 1,867 billion VND (from the central budget and provincial budget) including compensation, support and resettlement costs; construction; project management costs, construction investment consultancy, contingency.... This is a large-scale traffic project of Hai Duong province.

The project will build a roundabout-shaped elevated interchange, including the main bridge and the up and down branches. The overpass on Highway 5 is made of reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete according to standards. The main roundabout bridge is about 19 m wide, the width of the 4 approach bridges connecting to Highway 5 is about 7 m. The width of the 4 approach bridges connecting Kinh Mon and Kim Thanh sides is about 11 m.

The approach road on Highway 5 is designed to locally adjust the route according to the principle of ensuring the current lane size on Highway 5. The approach road connecting Kinh Mon and Kim Thanh is according to the standards of a level 2 plain road...

After being put into use, the connecting interchange will contribute to solving traffic congestion and accidents on National Highway 5, gradually completing the traffic route connecting the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway with National Highway 18, the traffic infrastructure system of Kim Thanh district, Kinh Mon town and the traffic system in the province. Thereby, creating conditions to expand urban space, promoting socio-economic development of Kim Thanh district, Kinh Mon town and Hai Duong province. The project is expected to start construction in early December 2024.
