Information from the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) said that on the afternoon of June 13, Market Management Team No. 5, Hanoi Market Management Department inspected the goods storage point at 62 Bach Mai Street (Hai Ba Trung District).
As a result, Hanoi Market Management Force discovered thousands of products including milk, functional foods, children's foods and cosmetics bearing the brands Altapharma, Hipp, Aptamil, Alete, Nivea... made in Germany.
At the time of inspection, the warehouse staff could not present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods. Through initial statements, the authorities said that all of these goods were purchased illegally on the market.
The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development quoted Mr. Le Manh Thang, Captain of Market Management Team No. 5, stating that in order to deceive the authorities, the owner of the shipment used location 62 Bach Mai Street as a warehouse to store goods, not as a direct business location to deliver products to consumers.

In order to distract the attention of authorities, the subject chose houses located in the suburbs, far from the center, to store contraband goods (Photo: Dms).
To sell goods without documents, the owner of the shipment uses social networks such as Zalo and Facebook to post pictures, articles, and clips offering cosmetics, functional foods, milk, etc.
Authorities also pointed out that in order to distract the attention of authorities, the subjects took advantage of the tight security management of the apartment complex, or chose houses located in the suburbs, far from the center, to store contraband goods.
To erase traces of production, all information and purchase transactions are done through social networks, and transported via COD (buyers will pay for the goods directly to the shipping unit upon receipt of the goods - PV).
The location at 62 Bach Mai Street was rented by the bank as a transaction location, while the subject used the top floors as a warehouse for storing goods. This has caused considerable difficulties for the authorities in the process of checking, controlling and preventing smuggled and counterfeit goods. Currently, the authorities have drawn up a record of the seizure of all the goods and are in the process of counting them.
Recently, authorities have been conducting a general inspection of consumer goods such as medicine, milk, functional foods, cosmetics, gasoline, fertilizers, cigarettes, etc. Acts of trading in counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and goods that violate intellectual property rights on e-commerce platforms and social networks will be strictly inspected and handled.
