On the afternoon of June 19th, at the Government Headquarters, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with current and former leaders of press agencies.
The meeting aimed to express gratitude and commemorate the contributions of generations of journalists throughout history, especially President Ho Chi Minh - the founder of revolutionary journalism in Vietnam - a great journalist, an outstanding revolutionary, a national liberation hero, and a world cultural figure of Vietnam.
Also attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Deputy Prime Ministers Bui Thanh Son and Mai Van Chinh; leaders of agencies directing and managing the press, ministries, branches, and central agencies; veteran journalists; and current and former leaders of central press agencies.
The press always serves the Fatherland, the people, and the national interest.
At the meeting, Director General of the Voice of Vietnam, Do Tien Sy, affirmed that throughout its long history of formation and development, under the leadership of the Party and the management of the State, the revolutionary press of Vietnam has always served the Fatherland, served the people, and worked for the interests of the nation and the people.
The revolutionary press in Vietnam has continuously grown stronger, meeting the requirements of the Vietnamese revolution in each historical period.
Mr. Do Tien Sy expressed his gratitude and confidence that the revolutionary press of Vietnam will continue to receive the attention, guidance, and support of the Government and the Prime Minister in the new development phase.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, on behalf of journalists, expressed gratitude to the Government and the Prime Minister for their guidance and attention to the press over the years, enabling the press system to contribute to the country's development.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister continue to pay attention to and direct ministries, sectors, and localities to increase commissioned journalistic work, support media agencies in developing technological infrastructure; and provide support and funding for training in skills and technology for journalists…
The achievements of the press contribute to the overall success of the country.
Sending his best wishes to veteran journalists, leaders, former leaders of press agencies and journalists in Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the current global and regional situation is rapidly evolving, complex, unpredictable, and difficult to forecast, requiring each country to adapt and respond flexibly.

The head of the government expressed his confidence and hope that the press and journalists nationwide would continue to uphold their century-old traditions, demonstrating integrity, "a pure heart, a clear mind, and a sharp pen," continuing to contribute and deliver high-quality journalistic works to readers and viewers, reflecting the pulse of life, and contributing to building a humane, professional, and modern revolutionary Vietnamese press.
At the same time, the Prime Minister hopes that journalists and media organizations, with their experience and knowledge, will provide more information and analytical perspectives for policy planning and appropriate, flexible, timely, and effective policy responses; contributing even more to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, for a socialist Vietnam that is prosperous, strong, democratic, just, and civilized.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Government, based on its functions, duties, and powers, is committed to always standing alongside the press and always creating favorable conditions for press agencies and journalists.
